Ten News First Presenters and Reporters

Perth’s sign off was very underwhelming, especially for two veterans of the network and the only city losing all members of the presenting team.

this whole thing sucks.

The farewell to Tim Bailey was so pathetic, it actually makes the lacklustre tribute packages Seven News Sydney gave to Chris Bath, Jim Wilson and Melissa Doyle look half decent.

Oh well…for all the talented people we’re sadly losing at least Sydney will now have a meteorologist as the main forecaster on three out of four networks - the ball is now in your court, Nine!

A disgraceful period in Channel 10’s history. This is the kind of move Warburton would make… but he’s over at Channel 7!!

Queensland already receiving a Sandra Sully promo - still being referred to as 10 News First Queensland and promoting how much local news there’ll be. Too soon :pensive:

I don’t even think I’ve seen the feed drop out with Mike in Melbourne for weeks, maybe months! Why did it happen tonight? Shameful and disgraceful send-off to someone who has been a massive part of the team for so long.

I doubt it was deliberate. No one in the Ten Melb control room would have done it on purpose.

I think this is why the weather reports were normally pre-recorded.

Georgina Lewis has already picked up work for Monday. She’ll be filling in as 97.3FMs Drive Newsreader for the week and then filling in as needed.

No it isn’t pre recorded. I participated in one of this live crosses where I got my 15 seconds of fame, it was 100% live

That’s a shame she will no longer be on any tv networks

Doesn’t mean she can’t be still. Time will tell.

I read somewhere that Emma Laurence has also got the boot?

I was in one of his live crosses and it is pre-recorded, about 2 minutes before air.

There would’ve been one pre record and 3 live hits…

Also, in winter, it’s pretty obvious the 5:30 pm hit is pre-recorded as it’s still light outside.

Yeah, 5.30 cross is always pre-recorded earlier. The 5.55 was always live.
