It was certainly very jolty and awkward. I think losing the feed briefly didn’t help.
No Signal. Geez what a way to rub it in.
Channel 10 completely butchered Mikes farewell… hold your head in shame
Rebecca Morse during the first cross to sport earlier talking about AFL saying “yeah it’s not nice being dropped from a team” Hope she gets picked up by another network soon!
Mike should’ve been in the studio for a proper farewell!
It was sad to watch that after 25 years it ended this way.It was nice to see Mike’s kids with him for his final night.
Such a sad night for many all around Australia tonight.
Half of those farewell packages should of went for longer. Such a joke IMO.
Haven’t seen what occurred with Mike yet, but perhaps they could upload the farewell montage video itself to their Social Media page? Unfortunate that technical difficulties struck on the worst night possible.
10 Brisbane did a nice job to farewell Georgie and Jonno. Though they were also saying goodbye to the studios, camera operators, studio staff etc,
Congratulations Tim Gossage on a wonderful 31 year career at Network TEN. Since Tim Gossage started at Channel 10 Perth, the station was 1 year old. I am feeling very sad to see Tim Gossage leave Channel 10. He has been a fantastic asset to the network. He presented AFL (when they previously broadcasted from 2002-2011), the Big Bash League (when they previously had in late 2013-early 2018) and the Melbourne Cup (until 2001). Tim Gossage, it has been an absolute pleasure to having you on Channel 10. We will miss you.
Despite technical hitches, Mike Larkan still managed to deliver one last weather report professionally. I felt the tribute was quite nice. It was also great to see Mike’s kids right at the end.
Good grief. That was horrendous,
Friday 11 September-
Charlotte Goodlet presented weather in Sydney tonight.
Why not Tim for his farewell?
A very emotional Tim Gossage during the end of Sport at the first half of the Perth bulletin.
I just caught the end of it.
I’ll be recording the final half hour of Perth’s bulletin.
If Viacom didn’t merge with CBS this would have NOT happened
Sounds pretty much like that is the case. Especially after the new set last year, the new presenters, reporters and 6PM edition.
Sports Quiz was funny tonight.
Asked something to the effect of ‘who kicked a goal in d grade local footy in 1989’
special tribute to CARRRRRLTON
edit: here it is
