I find her cold and I don’t think she’s that well known outside of Sydney, I’d much rather they use a staffer like Lachlan on weekends.
JP filed his first report from the UK over the weekend. There has been no PTC though yet.
Back in Qld, Brendan Savage has relocated to Brisbane to replace him. A new recruit Charlton Hart is reporting from the Gold Coast.
Ex Prime7 Tamworth.
Chris has been a national figure for like 25 years.
I’d watch Studio 10 if they paired Lachlan with Sarah. Or Lachlan with Tash Exelby or even Narelda. That would be fantastic.
Not exactly high profile though. Sunday Night but most remember Mel from that, not her.
Either way my point is they are better or using talent inside the network rather than a freelancer for a bulletin.
Yeah exactly - she presented a number of national bulletins and programs like Sunday Night, Seven Late News etc.
She also did DWTS and multiple Olympics
Obviously she has more profile in Sydney than other cities and I think it’s fair to say she’s faded somewhat from the limelight (by her own choice) - but I think she’s very well known nationally.
Brendan’s a Brisbane local. Charlton worked at TVQ for a while as a cadet, before moving to NNSW for more stable work.
Brendan reporting from the GC tonight and Charlton in Brisbane.
Seems their location roles may not be so rigid.
Narelda still at work celebrating
Jennifer Keyte will be returning from holidays on Monday 31 January.
Charlotte Goodlet Presenting the Sydney 4pm & 4.30pm updates + Brisbane 3pm & 3.30pm.
Chris lost her voice a bit in the 6pm bulletin whilst reading a story. Threw to a break but it went to vision of the next story followed by Chris having a cuppa. She mentioned at the end of the bulletin that it was the ‘lingering effects of omicron’.
Amanda Jason reading Perth news tonight.
Interesting.
Gives some context to her ‘leave’. I think one of the last times I saw her on air was as a guest panellist on The Project.
Originating from Brisbane, I have always found Tegan to be a great journalist so her absence from their Parliament House bureau has been noticeable, IMO.
PVO was probably hoping today’s exclusive would help to eclipse some of the bad press and social media abuse he has been copping lately. I think he’ll be getting some attention for reasons other than his journalism for some time to come.
Jeeeze the shits going to hit the fan. Some of PVOs press of late has been a disaster. I don’t think he will last much longer. This is a PR disaster for 10 if all these claims are aired in court.
Tegan was a good reporter with long tenure at 10. Again they keep destroying the good talent. The news dept lurches from one disaster to the next. They have a lot of work to do to fix it.
