If Audi is a big advertiser on Ten I’m sure they’ll make allowances ![]()
Another one bites the dust. Built up experience then leaves. Their Canberra bureau really needs a full time Bureau chief or Chief Political Correspondent. Been lacking since Hugh left and Paul Bongiorno went part time.
I completely agree, but Ten is hardly a network who could afford someone like Charles Croucher or Mark Riley, let alone a Laurie Oakes or Lane Calcutt!
Came across this on YouTube…
-
Never seen Rebecca Morse present a news update outside of Adelaide before.
-
Why would she have been presenting an afternoon one for Melbourne?
[Mid 2009]
This was when Adelaide was based in Melbourne. She used to do it quite a bit and Helen would present Adelaide updates. I thought you’d know this mate
Maybe they could get one from sky news. Or perhaps hire someone from a newspaper that could do it. Print is dying. Anyway we all know they are bound to put some unknown in there. The place is doing well in prime time… I want some reinvestment in news.
They’ve always had Paul Bongiorno, who’s more renowned & a stalwart han any of them (okay, maybe not Laurie Oaks)
Laurie Oaks did work for Ten News originally.

Originally at Seven, then Ten.
I hope Ten don’t get Bonge to do more than what he is doing.
They do have Leah Craven for their political bureau and Catalina Florez is moving from political reporter to Sydney state politics, from what I can gather.
Sad to see him go. He had quite a bit of experience and was a great political reporter.
Why’s that?
I think you can probably guess why. He is too left wing
Drinking he Andrew bolt flavored cool aid again have we?
According to Gerard Henderson, the Coalition regard him as the most left wing commentator at the press gallery on commercial FTA
How does a decent journalist’s political beliefs have any impact whatsoever on their reporting?
Considering how respected he is, it’s very inappropriate to drag his own beliefs in to make an argument that questions his ability to do his job.
see dude, there’s your first mistake, taking notice of old Gollum.
Your second mistake is posting crap like that here. ![]()
OK then. ![]()
IMO - If a journalist is publicly known for having an extreme view one way or another, he/she is already NOT a good journalist. The good journalists will keep there extreme personal views away from the the public domain. Otherwise people whom they may be required to interview with opposite views will avoid them with an equivalent passion.
