How long until Bathie falls victim to 10’s cost cutting if they have no commitment to keep her on?
If the current climate continues I’d say it’s a matter of weeks, surely. Somebody of her calibre doesn’t come cheap and to be brutal it doesn’t seem like she’s made any meaningful impact on their weekend ratings.
So why spend the money when they have Narelda there anyway?
Perhaps Narelda’s weekend bulletin is only a temporary thing as she can’t be utilised for what she was supposedly signed up to do on Studio10 during the pandemic.
I don’t see how you can judge that at the moment with COVID-19 pushing news numbers up. Weekend 10 News number up currently up 39% compared to previous years.

Oh, I hope not, I love Chris on weekends. I do take your point about Narelda being able to do both though.
The same could probably be about their other high profile poaches- Lisa Wilkinson, Jennifer Keyte, Monika Kos. But, I suspect it is more of a long term strategy.
