The problem with the 7 bulletin at the time was the sensationalism, not the presenter.
Ten need to utilise her properly now she isn’t tied to ABC Radio.

By leading 10’s coverage of national events and leading breaking news and election coverage

Was? The content of Seven News Sydney still is sensationalist (and if anything has probably gotten worse in recent years), although Mark Ferguson is also a problem for them since he’s still yet to lead the bulletin to any long term ratings success even after six years in the main chair!
But aside from that, I take your point. Now that Bathie has left the ABC (I guess because they couldn’t find a higher profile role for her there, particularly in TV news?), I personally hope we’ll see her become the first choice to present weeknight editions of 10 News First Sydney whenever Sandra Sully is unavailable. Arguably should be the main presenter of 10 News First Sydney with Sandra on weekends, but that’s another story…

AJ’s suggestions below would be a start. She’s excellent behind a desk but she’s also a storyteller which has been highlighted over the past week. Get her out on the road filing reports for The Project. Leave the celebrity chit chat for the likes of Wilkinson.
I wouldn’t know. I haven’t watched Seven News Sydney weekdays for years. Plenty of other news sources without subjecting myself to Mr Beige.
