I still think its a good idea for 10 to implement a local Melbourne bulletin for this weekend. They did 2 years ago, but last year they continued with the national edition. Helps promote the news brand in Melbourne.
Why just Melbourne, shouldnât all states get a local bulletin if they were going to go down that route? (spoiler: they wonât)
Curious when they ran with a Melb bulletin too, was it a one-off for an election or something similar to Perth last weekend?
Because its a Melbourne event⌠and often Melbourne has the biggest audience watching. Similar to the Melbourne Cup.
Apologies, I missed the part where you said for this weekend⌠yeah I can see that having a local bulletin after the big race on Saturday & Sunday would make sense however would be inconsistent when viewers tune in the following weekend and get a national bulletin with Chris.
Basically, you are promoting the weekday line up with new eyeballs sampling the product.
Scott Mckinnon was presenting Sydney sport from Melbourne tonight for the Grand Prix.
Believe I saw a 10NF ad during Dog House tonight.
Did my eyes deceive me or did it mention 1pm & 3.30pm news bulletins - not just the 5pm one!
Is it new?
Was it a still photo of the main presenter on the right and a list of the bulletins on the left?
Or was it âFor all the news you need, Switch on 10 News First (city name)
Or even better, was it something completely different!?
Somethingâs missing, canât put my finger on itâŚ
Câmon 10, be better than this!
I guess the reason they ignore the late news as it is sporadically programmed - so it could be on at 10pm one night and 10.50pm the other.
Possibly, but then itâs inconsistent with the use - the templates which include the late news are used across socials etc.
â1pm, 3:30pm, 5pm, Lateâ
Thereâs always a workaround if you try
Is she actually there or thatâs a live shot in the studio?
From memory they did this last year? Itâs a live shot from the studio.
The âMade in XXâ makes them look desperate. If your product is good quality (which it seems to be now) and has obviously local elements, you donât need to advertise it.
It almost made sense when the bulletins were first separated. Now with âMade in XXâ also being in the opening v/o itâs just unnecessary.
