Do you think Ursula will host the late news on Fridays in addition to 10 News Plus?
I don’t see why she wouldn’t. She’s presented the 5PM bulletin and the late one previously.
I wonder who will fill-in for Sandra on Friday’s now as this effectively rules out both Hugh and Ursula.
Probably Lachlan Kennedy
10 News Tasmania on its way?
A significant factor in the restructure involves Southern Cross Austereo’s recent sale of its Hobart TV studio to Paramount, the owners of Channel 10.
Hugh couldn’t present both (depending how they manage the transition between shows)?
I mean that’s probably a better investment but I can’t see them doing it due to costs and control rooms.
No but probably means noodle updates will continue from Hobart. Also a happy fluke that 10 now has a Tasmanian newsroom so not sure if we might see locals reporting for bigger Tassie news events rather than them sending people from Melbourne.
Mmm…Yum!
Good news for 10 to have a dedicated space in Tasmania now. I expect the WIN NNSW updates to be produced from here too soon.
Perhaps the Hobart control room can control Brisbane
Theoretically Brisbane should be live now as there should be a control room available
It will be interesting to see what happens on that front!
Noted in 10’s weekly reporting
Uh oh…
First look at a 10 News rebrand?
A possible first look at the new 10 NEWS+ logo, which TV Blackbox has obtained — though we understand this variant is for social media and may look slightly different on-air when the new 6pm current affairs program launches (images – 10)
In what one insider described as “big blow” to the Perth newsroom, The West Australian understands as many as four editors were told on Monday their roles would be moved to Sydney or Melbourne, as part of a centralised editing system.
Roles in Adelaide and Brisbane have also been affected, with staff set to leave at the end of the month, and leaving Perth with almost no editors locally.
Around 10 staff will be offered redeployment to the Eastern States.
TV Blackbox also understands these tweaks will carry through to its news division, with 10 News First set to drop “First” from its title after nearly 7 years — a news service which has gone through numerous names and changes over the years.
Apologies, I am aware it is a paid subscription, but I felt the link preview helped to summarise.
Ooh, red! The ‘+’ looks nice! Maybe we’ll see promotions start to begin this week?
Also, the new vibrant shade of blue for the ‘10’ logo kinda reminds me of the 2008-2013 era of Ten News.

Also! Will the legendary Les Gock return again like he did in 2018, to compose a new rendition of the 10 News theme?
I hope the red isn’t their primary colour choice. Add some CBS white and black if they must change things but stick to the blue, anything but red.
The 10NewsPlus IG page pfp has a dark blue BG with red coloring:
