I’d be interested to know how exactly a “centralised editing system” works in this case if they still need to migrate roles across to Syd/Melb.
What’s the cost saving of moving people to Sydney or Melbourne? Not having to rent the office space in Adelaide and Perth?
Does redeployment mean 10 would pay to relocate them to continue in their current role, or is it more like we’ll offer you a similar role in Sydney if you move there.
Save on new equipment that might be needed?
Do we know if this is a legit page? The name being so close to the main news brand it would likely make sense to put everything on the main page.
Appears someone at 10 today has been busy updating all of the social media handles to @10NewsAU.
Some of the links in their profiles are now broken, most of the /10newsfirst one’s are down.
10 really be changing names left, right & centre. Really can’t stick to a name for long enough.
I kind of liked 10 News First, grew on you over time. At least they didn’t go back to Eyewitness, I suppose.
Not a fan of the boxed logo or red colour choice, also looks out of place with the News and the + being planned like that
Yeah same here. I guess they look at it now as it’s not the first bulletin of the day.. so back to 10 News?…

About time IMO. The “First” never made sense though I understood they wanted to retain the nod to their “First at Five” heritage in the first place.

I suspect the new presentation to be heavily influenced by the CBS look. Maybe the regular bulletins will go down a white font, on a dark blue background to differentiate from the 10 News +.
Perhaps they’ll also have a watermark ala CBS local bulletins where Sydney, Melbourne, Perth ETC are incorporated under 10 News.
Very excited to see whats to come.
Would be great if we got localized promos for local editions and then an overarching news branding and positioning promo too. Wishful thinking
