Nope 75 minutes to go…
Is the 6pm portion going to be presented by someone else as a seperate bulletin?
No… Sandra’s still doing it all
Interesting.
Will there be notable on air differences for us to notice?
For the average punters at home? No, no change.
For the MediaSpyer’s amongst us… sure.
Cryptic. Interesting.
The Melburnian writing the teleprompter for an Adelaide story didn’t do their research. Jennifer introduced a live cross to a reporter “on the Southern Expressway”, reporter briefly stumbled correcting her as being “on the Southern Free… the South Eastern Freeway”.
The red line is the Southern Expressway. The purple line is the South Eastern Freeway. The yellow dot is where the reporter was (Mount Osmond). Whoops.
Not a good look for a city which is already struggling with the ratings of this bulletin.
That’s a pretty big stuff up. If there was only one or the other it wouldn’t be too bad but there’s both and to get one confused for another is pretty bad.
Proof that the new direction is flawed and it’s the local viewers that suffer.
The second segment promoted coming up after the break has mostly Queensland stories. Previously this was the ‘shared’ part of the bulletin.
Update - despite the ‘coming up promo’ the second segment was identical in Brisbane and Sydney apart from the traffic opening and weather closing
Brisbane
Sydney
Segment 3 was world news and also identical
Compare segments 4 onwards…
Yeah, Sandra actually threw to the Sydney traffic reporter at 5:40 instead of it just being inserted into a return from break.
Live and local from 5.40 onwards then I assume?
Segment 4 had one story in each market that was local. In Brisbane traffic was first, in Sydney it came last.
Brisbane - story was a bout gambling spending in Queensland. Brisbane received finance report, Suyndey did not.
Sydney - local story was about Penrith temps.
Next was sport was identical except for the throw to the break.
No - sport is shared.
Not in daylight saving
