I’m not sure I get the business strategy behind putting lives news
On 10Play randomly for 30 minutes a day.

10Play is not a destination for people who consume news.

When will TV networks realise that the majority who watch online do not watch linear TV. They are two completely different audiences. Taking a bulletin from linear and simply putting it online and vice versa will not work. The bulletins need to be tailored to their respective audiences.

Breaking news cross at the desk

The ugly breaking red colour with the blue is seriously bad, make it stop

Looks alright to me.

Slight crossover at the start of Midday News to allow Ursula to pass on 10th birthday wishes. Watermark was on for a few seconds

Also coming from the studio that Adelaide’s bulletin comes from. (I assume)

Yep looks like it.

The entire bulletin seemed to come from the alternate studio.
My recording crashed at the 50m mark so I missed how they did the entertainment report - I assume a live across to Ang on the main set.

Yeah, but it seemed to be pre-recorded for some reason.

Did 10 News air at 6pm in Melbourne and Sydney today due to the Horse Racing (Victoria Derby Day)?

It happens a few times a year for 10 on Saturdays (and some Sundays) due to sporting events, like Horse Racing and the random Motorsports.

Yes was at 6pm

Something I was thinking the other day, if 10 plan to run Late News on weeknights next year they’ll be the only commercial (do we count SBS?) with late news on Friday nights, with 9’s Late News from Sun-Thur and 7’s The Latest from Mon-Thur nights.

SBS isn’t technically* commercial so you’re right in that respect.

(*having said that their news seems to have taken a more commercialised direction in recent years - their deeper emphasis on overseas news seems to have taken a back seat with Australian news more often than not leading the bulletin. I’ll save that piece for another thread though)

Given they’re part advertising funded, it’s definitely borderline but by their own admission at their recent Upfronts they acknowledged they operate generally as commercial in nature whilst still meeting their charter obligations.

No coverage of interest rates decision from 10 this afternoon that came about the time of pre-cup entertainment. Didn’t want to spoil the mood :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
