When it was a franken-bulletin and the <2020 version yeah, but this new/current Adelaide bulletin is controlled from Sydney.
Wouldn’t Melbourne controlling another market require use of the control room used for The Project?
Melbourne control Adelaide and the traffic updates for the east coast.
(Those traffic updates were a way of keeping at least a couple of staff in the mass sacking.)
Why present in Sydney but control in Melbourne?Capacity?
Yeap. There’s only 2 control rooms in Sydney (with 3 studio spaces, plus the newsroom camera on level 5) whereas 3 in Melbourne for the old way…
The second control in Sydney isn’t automated though…
Thanks for the clarification as always. Didn’t realise Melbourne still controlled Adelaide.
Because the main presenter is currently living in Sydney for family reasons.
It’s a bit odd though. Like you’d think they’d say “here’s the job, it’s in Adelaide, take it or don’t”
Well at the time they had no intention of moving presentation back local beyond occasionally.
I would say if ratings lift, they’ll move presentation back long term.
Quality, no fluff ANZAC day early morning news bulletin from 10 this morning. Great presenting, interviewing and analysis from Hugh.
Good to see 10 covering ANZAC day. I imagine ratings won’t be high though. No one really turns to 10 for news unfortunately.
Yuck that maroon colour!
