Ten News First Content and Appearance

First as in priority is news rather than fluff. Not first as in time. That’s the way I’ve understood it. But who knows.

It’s still a weird tag line and bulletin title.

That’s part of my point- any expansion would have to eat into Studio 10 (not that that is necessarily a bad thing). I don’t think it will start any earlier because then the news department would have to resource it. And if they wanted to increase their news presence, they’d be wiser to do it in prime time, 6pm Saturdays or 10pm weeknights. I see this as a move driven solely by Studio 10.

Late last year, they let her start later. So, she’s not seen before the 9.30 news. She doesn’t work at all on Fridays and alternate Thursdays from what I’ve gathered.

It should be “10: News First” then if that’s what the first is meant to mean.

It’s been called that since TVBlackbox broke the story.

My guess is Cynic is just confirming what is available to them in advanced guides, since 10 themselves haven’t released any press releases themselves about the bulletin yet.

Few mistakes on Nova Radio this afternoon… advertising 10 News First Sydney with Sandra Sully into the Melbourne market.

What a terrible promo. It doesn’t tell you what the bulletin is about or why people should ‘switch on’. You might get away with it for an established 5pm bulletin with well-known anchors but not when you’re launching a new bulletin. Stupid even for a soft launch.
