Ten News First Content and Appearance (2020-Feb 2025)

Well it didn’t crash into the middle of the program like usual. Take with that what you will!

In Sydney the opening came on for 6 seconds but just just a still slide; then a promo and ads took over before the late start.

Sounds like technical issues.

Yea it was a technical issue. The same slide appeared in Melbourne, then ads.

Some really decent figures for the news last night.

442,000 nationally with Sydney peaking at 96k :exploding_head:

Perth’s bulletin also beat The Chase and Tipping Point!

Time to add 9:30 local news :smiling_imp:

So at what point does The Chase get axed :stuck_out_tongue:
Listen - losing to TP is one thing, losing to 10 News First is another

In all seriousness, kudos to 10 for pulling this news figure out recently. Fingers crossed they can maintain it.

That’s great for Nat and the Perth crew.

Nat always presents flawlessly and never misses a beat. I’ve been in the control room, with her patiently waiting in Perth, while other presenters struggle to get updates right. One thing I truly miss about my time at 10 is working with her she was an absolute joy to work with.

The under-desk lighting was updated late last week. Much stronger colour now; subtle but looks great.

Fantastic set.

If only they could spend some money on other markets.

It’s been a while since I watched Ten New First but is she permanently the presenter for the Perth bulletin?

Yes, has been for a few years now

Please excuse the large amount of posts about the Sydney set lately, but it seems that my favourite cameraman has definitely not left the building.

Today’s Lunchtime bulletin had some :fire:

Perhaps Herman did all the programming for the automated cameras before he left

Has Channel 10 switched to automated cameras in Sydney?

It was presumed that some works in Sydney over Christmas could’ve been associated with a possible introduction of robotic cameras, but this may not have been the case

Yeah. Possibly those cameras might just do the basic PTZ but the whole pedestal would still have to be moved by a person.

Nothing changed (apparently). All they did was paint the floors.
