ANZAC promo
End boards and social graphics will likely finally be updated from the photo shoots that 10 did with the entire news team in Sydney back in mid February, these are from 10 play and should make their way on-air soon I would imagine.
I wonder what else they were doing, maybe filmed some other promos?

I don’t watch Ten News First on weekends that regularly, but something that still bugs me is the camera angle that they use post-opener and for the weather. The downward angle feels like it’s looking down at the presenter instead of across to them, and it shows too much of the floor. Cutting off the top of the video wall also makes the shot feel somewhat unbalanced.
The angle used in the ANZAC Day bulletin was much more level. Frames the video wall too, nicely balanced.

Yes, I’ve always thought the downward angle really dwarfs Sandra & Chris and they get lost in whatever is being shown on the screen.

I think these are an improvement but they’re still not great! Perth’s looks the best, imo, and Melbourne’s, the worst.
Really, if they had all the presenters in one spot at the same time, why didn’t they just shoot the promos together rather than have to edit Chris into it.
And, a minor detail but I think Chris should be standing behind the weekday team instead of inbetween.

Their massive videowall is fantastic but it really should have been curved. Something like the 2012 Al Jazeera set would have been perfect for Ten’s Sydney atrium newsroom.
The shots of Sandra/Chris almost lost in frame infront of the awkwardly placed videowall look often comical at times - let alone the shots of Tim Bailey presenting the weather.

My only criticism is for the headlines at the start Sandra/Chris should follow 1 news Nz and walk a few steps I feel it captures more.

There was a generic short 10 News First promo before returning to Studio 10 this morning around 10:20am, it didn’t feature a end board with local presenters but just promoted the 5pm bulletin.
It was essentially about the Royal baby announcement and showed footage of Prince William making the announcement etc. so a pretty good turnaround there for 10.
