More than likely most of the equipment around the network is HD, but I was referring to the backhaul equipment which gets the studio to presentation… including the station router.

Any reason why sometimes TVQ doesn’t underlay the theme during the closer until the wide shot?

Automation.

Should happen all the time.

That breaking news graphic is so ugly, it reminds me of the Studio 10 package in its early days.

Seriously? Wtf.

I’m already cringing and I haven’t even seen it cause I know it’ll just be scaremongering a chan site and/or trying to justify government ordered blocking of websites online.

The Professor and The Hack

Listen up! The Professor and The Hack have something to say

10 Speaks releases its first podcast following partnership with Acast, the world’s largest podcasting platform.

Network 10 has today released its first 10 Speaks podcast, The Professor and The Hack . Hosted by 10’s network political editor Peter Van Onselen and national affairs editor Hugh Riminton, The Professor and The Hack is a weekly show unpacking what’s happening in Australian politics for the average Australian.

Hugh said: “ The Professor and the Hack is just PVO and me doing what we do anyway - banging on about politics, what’s going on under the surface and what the hell it’s all about. He’s the Prof and I’m just the Hack with lots of questions. Millions are going to listen to this podcast and we’ll all get rich. That’s the plan.”

Network 10’s chief executive officer Paul Anderson: “We’re really excited to be launching 10 Speaks with such a fantastic podcast, particularly in the lead-up to the federal election. When it comes to politics, Peter and Hugh are world-class and their banter, insights and take on the world is unique, accessible and relatable. I may be biased of course, but I’d highly recommend the first episode to those who enjoy good ol’ political banter.”

The launch of 10 Speaks follows the launch of 10 All Access in December as another avenue 10 can engage its under 50s audience with premium content whenever, wherever and however they want.

Paul continued: “10 is home to some of the noisiest content and some of Australia’s best talent and commentators. It makes sense for us to extend the great content we have into the booming podcasting area. We can’t wait to share more of what’s to come. Watch this space.”

10 Speaks is powered by Acast and will feature original and show-adjacent content from 10 talent. As the hosting and distributing partner, Acast will deliver the technical infrastructure and work with 10 on the widest range of podcast advertising solutions to 10 Speaks.

Acast’s content director Guy Scott-Wilson said: "Podcasting in Australia has moved far beyond its infancy, with listener numbers continuing to grow year on year.

“It’s exciting to see iconic Aussie media companies like Network 10 entering the podcasting space. We’re delighted to partner with Network 10 on 10 Speaks, helping them usher in a new era of on-demand audio content."

Search The Professor and The Hack on Acast or visit this link: play.acast.com/s/the-professor-and-the-hack. The first episode will be available on iTunes and Spotify later this week with each new episode dropping every Friday.

Looks like Ashton Atkinson recorded a series of “as live” reports for each eastern state market for tonight.

In Sydney it was “live” as there was a live bug.

Eventful night in Brissy.

We lost Dave at the end of the first traffic report.

Josh was on location for Weather, fourth year hosting the Dancing Ceo’s Ball in Brisbane. Great cause.
Georgie Said “we hope we can get your dancing shoes out of retirement” Before Jono and Herself laughed at the end of the bulletin.

They had a cross to promote what is coming up on The Project, like they do on Sundays, tonight. @lexington is it possible for The Project to do these for each local bulletin, at different times, (even if it is pre-recorded) during the week?

Not 5 of them with the level of preproduction they do.

IIRC, they did that with George Negus in 2011.
