Sad. I thought Daniel was a great reporter, prior to News+.

Woudlve liked to see Dan return to the reporting ranks as a senior correspondent but perhaps that wasnāt offered. Such a shame. He was excellent with live crosses and rolling coverage.

Perhaps he wanted to minimise the redundancies from his Plus team, so offered to go instead. Perhaps he wants to keep producing.

With Plus gone soon, as soon as the weather is done at 6, I would make sure you see the local anchor immediately with news headlines. Like this:
You really donāt want people thinking Plus is on (I miss the News First colour scheme too).

I do wonder about this experiment, as I thought The Project rated higher than 10News+ā¦ I do not see how a 90 min bulletin will fix this

Agreed and they have some great people who read the news and journalists etc and I am sure they have great behind the scenes staff but compare to 12 to 15 years ago, the Ten News brand is not (in my honest opinion) a brand of news that I recognise and its service has been garnished little by little since they had right wing nut jobs at the helm of the enterprise.
Iām at the point that anything that thety do this just reeks of desperation. I think 90 minutes is a mistake, and not sure how that is going to fix the problems it has, (including ratings).
I can see Ten News being abandoned in the next 10 to 20 years, it has underperformed in everyway possible against Nine and Seven.
Sad to say, the loss of Daniel Sutton is a mjaor disasapointment but i hope he gets to do bigger things and not held by a network clearly not giving a flying piggy about itās own news divsion.

I note Sydney has already gone back to Sandra signing off from the bulletin rather than transitioning straight from weather to Plus.
