Adelaide is still going straight from weather to Plus.
They all look happy to be signing off again. ![]()
A video posted by Sandra that there is longer local news from Monday but not much else seen.

They should be advertising 6pm as a separate bulletin rather than just a single â5pm Weeknightsâ
A more honest promo would be âsee the same stories twiceâ
They could make fun a Groundhog Day one with Sandra.
Or use their Coles gift card promo, first viewer to spot a repeated story each night wins the grocery voucher.
The promo is so vague and misleading, you have to be a Media Spy regular to have any idea what is being promoted. Hopefully the promised promos make things a lot clearer.
I think the Brisbane one is focusing on 6pm. There was suggestion to focus on Sharyn being back at 6pm.
10 News has been at 5 for 25 years, it can not be promoted for a few weeks.
They should ONLY be promoting and marketing the new 6pm. (And heavily)
itâs also in the guides as a single 90 minute bulletin at 5. Another mistake
It Should be listed at 6 as â10 News Sydney at 6â
So she has re-signed with 10? From memory it was a two year contract. It is great news for 10 but I do wonder if Seven even bothered to ask her back?
I hear what people are saying around 6pm but who knows how long the 6pm segment will actually be around for until they make another programming decision to try something else there. Itâs happened before that theyâve got news to extend to 6:30 when they have nothing else and then cut it again.
5pm is more certain (and not rating as well in Sydney as elsewhere) so why not spend the advertising money there - that Sydney promo is good. Simple, reinforces local, doesnât over promise.
Perhaps weâll see a better resourced bulletin with a greater variety of content, they still have most of the Plus resources so they have to go somewhereâŠ
Softly, softly with 6pm rather than rushing into it all guns blazing (theyâve made that mistake before recently).
My guess is that itâs a cheap and easy slot filler when theyâve run out of ideas and money.
I doubt they are even really trying or expecting many people to watch and arenât going to do anything that costs more to produce than 10News+ did
Agreed with the heavy promoting, but still including a reference to 5pm would help viewers understand that 6pm can be viewed separately.
âFirst at Five, see your detailed overview of the dayâs news. And new at 6pm, catch the fast roundup of the stories that matter to you. From your city, state and around the world: Fast at Six.
10 News. Your news at your pace.â
Iâd want 10 to call it âFast at Sixâ only if they guaranteed to play it at least at 1.5x speed! ![]()
Nice to hear the Brisbane team have some idea on promotion thenâŠ
Promos we will never see. Theyâll air them once a day if we are lucky.
Theyâll really need a news positioning promo (60 sec / 45 sec). Then a national promo (late news, weekend news) then local promos (30 sec / 15 sec / 10 sec). Then you run any combination of these on every commercial break across all day parts. But you know they wonât even go close to doing any of that.
5PM weeknights and not on weekends? What a stupid promo if youâre going to have your WEEKEND presenter on there.
The Brisbane version is not earth shattering but it is good. Sharyn does her usual Sharyn spin on things. Expect to see it get a run from tomorrow, but as cmo said you wonât see it flogged into the ground. I mean the 90 min bulletin starts in about 48 hours from now, but we canât be promoting it too far ahead of time, right?
Right?
