I really doubt anyone at ViacomCBS in London, the US or Sydney made this decision. 10 would have been given a directive to look at all salaries, costs, expenses and ROI (return on investment) and given a number they had to hit
10 - knowing their ratings revenue growth and costs looked at primetime v local 6pm newsreaders and weather guys in Perth making 200k plus for 50,000 viewers , and decided this is where the vista make the most sense

Given everyone else is still there, I think they would have. She might have not wanted to because she is too sad.
But, actually, S10 should still do a tribute for her, like they did for Robbo.

I wonder what the ratings for Perth news on weekends live from Sydney are compared to local ratings during the week? If it’s not much differance there’s the reason why.
Maybe she already has other plans, which she alluded to. If she’s going to another network then they’d finish her straight away.

They probably have enough to fill an hour with talking heads and video journalist reports. All presented nationally from Sydney. Ah. Never mind 
Last Sunday more people watched 10 news first from Sydney in Perth than did watch the local 10 news first Perth on Tuesday for example
79,000 compared to 67,000
This was despite the Sunday national run having about 100,000 or 25% lower ratings than the combined Tuesday local editions
So basically Perth over consumed the news from Sydney compared to other markets
It seems they have no problem with news from Sydney

I hope that is the case. Studio 10 should at least do a highlights package next week though.

, nah they’re fine where they are, would miss Sandra Sully, she’s a real gain for Brisbane and Perth, I can remember watching the Moto Gp and then she broke the news on 911.
Our top story: “Evil Anthony Albanese tried to debate our glorious leader Scott Morrison in Parliament today and came off like the Red Communist that he is” 
Might as well watch North Korean news.
