I thought that these days it is produced in house with roving only owning format rights? This changed a few years back. Seems like a bit of misinformation out about this show
Both open. But obviously discussions about this change should still occur here for the time being.
Yeah I also thought that reading the TVTonight article about why The Project was saved with all of these cuts but then couldnāt find an article where it specifically mentioned that this was the case now.
Roving Enterprises website still lists the project as a show they produce
Network 10 is clearly not interested in news as there is very little ROI for them.
Why would 10 go around outsourcing their news production etc when itās probably cheaper to do it in-house? The companies mentioned above will be looking to charge more to generate profit off the production as-well.
I think Iāve got this rightā¦

Crossover times could mean thereās some regular shared broadcast window with mixed-State content, but also allows for specific state-based stuff within the bulletin, if run as one long broadcast⦠with the exception of QLD in DST and Perth.
Could also make rolling coverage a bit more flexible, perhaps?
Except that Perth will be read from Sydney.
Tim Gossage officially saying that heās leaving the network
Slight correction for you mate but great work! Perth will be read from Sydney and they donāt use DST so in those months theyāll be 3 hours behind Sydney.
Monika Kos, Michael Schultz and now Tim Gossage. Iām so sad to see Tim Gossage leave Channel 10 Perth. Such a humble, professional man. I remembered back in 2002 where Tim Gossage started a local footy show, The Western Front (when Channel 10 previously had the AFL rights). The Western Front ended in 2011 (where 10 walked off the AFL).
All three presenters gone from Channel 10 Perth
Terrible. So that means the entire Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane teams are gone (minus Jonathan Williams apparently).
Probably saving millions in salaries for the network
Goss and Shultzy are the duo we donāt deserve. Both brilliant in their respected fields. A lot of people (like myself) wanted to go into journalism because of these blokes out west.
Michael legitimately delivers the best and most informed weather in Perth, bar Aunty. 7 & 9 have these gimmicks but Shultzy has the facts (and for a long time the most up to date info from the bureau).
How much do you really think a newsreader for 10 in Adelaide is getting, let alone a weather presenter?
100% Iād even go as far as saying probably the most comprehensive forecast in Australia.
So sad seeing 3 quality presenters being shafted. I am really hoping that another network picks them all up because it will be such wasted talent in WA.
When you read all the comments on Gosā tweet you really get an understanding of how respected he was in the industry in WA and across Australia.
250k+ news
150k + weather?
Surely Rebecca Morse wouldāve been earning only a fraction of what Jane Doyle gets from Seven?
Maybe somewhere around 100k-150k in Adelaide? Iād imagine that Tim Bailey and Mike Larkan wouldāve been paid a bit more, but reckon theyād still be getting less money than Sydney/Melbourne weather presenters on Seven, Nine (since she has some form of national presenting profile, I actually wouldnāt be entirely shocked if even Belinda Russell has a higher annual salary than Tim Bailey) and the ABC respectively.
Whatāll happen with Brisbaneās Studio where the News and Several Kids Programs (Notably Totally Wild & Crocamole) are Filmed???
Crocamole wrapped production back in 2018. Scope films in their own studio with a field camera and Totally Wild uses some office space with a field camera.
Theyāll still, likely, need the newsroom camera⦠and eventually guests for The Project and Studio 10, so theyāll need something.
Additionally I hear a C class program is still on the cards. Will that just be a ādryā studio production?
This is true:
