Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

True, but at least that has aired consistently on Christmas Day rather than being schedule filler six times a year.

The Devil Wears Prada… In typical Ch 10 fashion

Followed by the premiere of Gone Girl, which is a great film & hopefully will be broadcast uncut.

What’s the classification on home media vs TV?

NB/ off topic but the book was far better.

Classification Board (via 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment… I’m looking at the DVD LOL :joy:):

“MA15+: strong sexualised violence, blood, sex scenes and coarse language”

–

Network Ten:

“MA15+: Strong coarse language*, strong violence, strong sex scenes and strong adult themes”

 • = unlike the old code, networks no longer have to follow prescribed wording from the ACMA, so for Ch 10 “strong coarse language” = “very coarse language” (which Ch 7 & I believe Ch 9 still use).

hasn’t Gone Girl already been on Ten this year.

I believe Gone Girl was on a few momths ago during the Olympics, I think. Not the premiere.

Yep it was last shown on August 17th.

Life In Pieces has been bumped from Mondays to this Friday at 11pm on Ten.

Its actually not a bad summer line up from TEN.

With Ch 10 confirming TBL - Transformed will air between I’m A Celebriry & MasterChef, this suggests the season will be a lot shorter than normal?

It leaves a month to a month and a half at best (mid/end March to late April/early May)?

Or perhaps they’ll start the season on some nights, when I’m A Celebrity is still going?

Thoughts?
Why are Ten reviving this shit for another series? Surely they can think of something entirely new and different. It will more than likely flop as people are sick and tired of it. Idiots.

From what I remember reading Masterchef will be pushed back slightly. It will probably start in late May.

Really?

That means MasterChef’s finale may not be until late August/early September!

And more importantly would push all the other shows back (Bachelor, Bachelorette & Survivor)

Season 5 of MasterChef in 2013 started on June 2 and finished on September 1, so it has happened before.
And this could raise the possibility that The Bachelor/ette will air three nights a week, with Survivor staying on two nights a week.

If so, a few positives I can see for Ch 10:

•MasterChef won’t be head-to-head with The Voice (much shorter series) & House Rules (slightly shorter series) for it’s entirety.

•Ch 10 will see key programming all the way through to end of ratings (unlike the 3-4 week hole we saw this year).

•As mentioned in the AGM, as well as no Olympics, there’s key programming non-stop from February to November.

The way I see it:

 • TBL has failed to fire for a number of years. It’s a big risk to bring it back so they’re minimising the risk with a small season.
 • Masterchef starting and ending later won’t lose it any viewers
 • Bachelor/ette and Survivor starting and ending later means they won’t have a month of SFA where half the schedule is Jamie Oliver and Grant Denyer

I couldnt see it being an issue anyway. The Voice will see declines next year. In fact it could be head to head, potentially, with Hells Kitchen.

Grant Denyer is the best presenter to grace our screens since the daily bailey started in 1930 lmao

On a serious note, as much as I am a survivor fan, I really hope they don’t overload it for three nights a week again. I’m sure many people found three eps were too much, especially if you missed one week, you’d be quite far behind the narrative. Here’s hoping!

Rest TBL for a year or so and replace with Big Brother
…Or how about they finally put the shit out of its misery already?
One sharp axe like this should do the trick. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m in two minds as to whether Ten should be reviving Big Brother again. I have serious doubts that it would rate well enough these days even if Ten were to put their own spin on it again. I think they should be looking at something completely different (i.e. something that doesn’t involve cooking, renovating, singing, finding love etc. etc.)
