I just noticed that 10 are airing movies on Friday nights on the main channel. Starting from tonight. With the 2022 film The Lost City airing tonight, with The First Wives Club next Friday.
Both starting at 8.45pm after Sort Your Life Out. I take it that repeats of The Dog Academy and Dogs Behaving Badly (that aired their last week) didn’t rate that well.
Might actually help 10s ratings out for Fridays - and if they market it well (think a campaign with like "Friday Flicks on 10 or 10’s Night at the Movies - Fridays from 8.45 after Sort Your Life Out
Air that type of promo during your new/newish localised bulletins (and while you’re at it 10… promote your new local bulletins around town cough cough 10 News Brisbane cough cough) and then that should boost ratings a bit
Yup, as mentioned above by Aaron a couple of days ago.
Sounds like a good change, bit of dog overload for 10.
Makes sense as in recent years you could say 10 has… gone to the dogs
I know I have the guides, but something not making sense.
Sort Your Life Out. I know episode 1 was skipped but I have this:
2, 3 4 and 5 airing 16 August, 23 August, 30 August and 6 September
10 Play has 2, 3, 5 airing 23rd August, 30 August and 6 September
Did it not start 16 August?
I have Dog Academy starting 16 August - but both started together right?
For years Ten had movies in this very slot, but it became a rotation of mostly the same films, so we will see how they go this time around.
Movies have been pulled already. An encore of Have You Been Paying Attention will go in, followed by new The Real CSI Miami
Sundays will be new FBI, followed by repeat FBI and repeat FBI again.
Wednesdays after Inspired will be repeat Just for Laughs and repeat Ambulance Australia
I have figured it out.
There are 7 episodes - not 6 and 10 Play is just completely wrong.
It did start on 16th August - not 23rd.
4 episodes have aired - 3 to come.
Wheel of Fortune takes the 2pm slot from Family Feud which moves to 12:30pm.
Wheel is fast tracked to 10 a week after the US with new host Ryan Seacrest.
Also interesting that The Talk is back in the schedule 6am weekdays from Monday 16th replacing cooking show repeats, especially interesting given it’s finishing up relatively soon.
Drat, I was looking forward to seeing The Devil Wears Prada for the first time.
You can watch it over on Seven on Thursday!

For second we thought 10 was onto something, especially given they could show some Paramount content (B-grade movies or something)
How am I not surprised the movies are dropped.
Interesting that The Amazing Race Australia has been kept to two episodes a week still.
Also to consider that this schedule restores a Have You Been Paying Attention? encore to Friday nights. It had been switched (unsuccessfully) to Wednesday that seemed too close to the original airing.
Agree that the HYBPA repeats on Wednesdays were too close to the original airing. Moving it back to Fridays makes more sense. Luckily, in the 8.45pm slot, with new content still at 7.30pm.
Might be best to save the movie library content until Christmas.
Entering the last quarter of 2024: What has been the best performer/decision by the TEN Network?
(IMO - Pushing more promo to Cheap Seats and picking up DOND could be seen as a success as it’s improved int ratings week on week)
