Still a very repeat heavy schedule despite the many hours of I’m a celeb.
The Cheap Seats, Taskmaster and Have You Been Paying Attention will be along in the next few months.
I just wish we had shows like these for Q1.
Nine do a great job having The Hundred in Q1 and Q4. 10 should do something similar.
That week off the back of Celeb would be a great start for Late News if it could air close to 10pm most nights, it’s been long enough now.
Not having first run content Mon & Tues nights is a shame too, especially not having something else lined up in lieu of WILTY? returning this year.
Maybe they should look at other collaborations such as Gogglebox, or something like Impractical Jokers where it screens across 10 / P+ etc.
We are still lacking a Rove Live type program in Australia for local and international guests to be interviewed and promote their work.
I think there’s room for Good News Week and Dirty Laundry Live again.
Fun, panel type programs.
Even Talkin Bout Your Gen.
Obviously preference would be new content but you get the picture.
They shine with HYBPA, Cheap Seats and TGYH. More of these type of programs please!
Agree, I’m surprised nobody has tried a personality led panel or interview type show for a short run on one of the networks.
They seem to be risk adverse with this type of thing, ABC gave up quite quick with Frankly, Seven abandoned that genre after Interview with Andrew Denton, 10 haven’t revisited it really since the Rove / This Week Live days.
Surely 10 / 9 have shown these type of formats can work with The Hundred, Cheap Seats and can be done relatively cheap / profitable etc.
We can dream I guess.
Good Chef Bad Chef premieres Season 16 on 10 tomorrow afternoon at 3:00pm with a new look and new hosting lineup.
Can still remember the OG season back in 2006 IIRC presented by soon-to-be MC OG Gary Mehigan and Janella Purcell (who remained until at least 2012 with then long-time presenter Adrian Richardson). A side note: Purcell also featured on Ten’s TBL, as did ABC’s Dr Norman Swan, as resident nutritionist and medical expert respectively.
Soon to be MasterChef OG?
Oh no… Adrian and Preeya were a good combo. I found myself cooking a lot of their recipes.
I don’t like that Mike Reid. He’s annoying.
So there’s still no new local content on 10 in the mornings.
As in back then, Gary wasn’t yet a MasterChef (MC) judge and he was also one of the originals (OG) on MC for 11 years, was just providing some extra context
Speaking of 10 mornings, haven’t seen this mentioned in here yet I think.
Depends on whether Ten are doing a double episode on another day? May bring it back level across the country by turning it back into a single ep for QLD/WA wherever that day is.
Will Ten have rights to this new daytime soap?
Depends on a few factors, production companies etc so anything here would be pure speculation.
However I think gone is the days that something would automatically appear on 10 just because it was broadcast on CBS or one of their other networks, if they can better monetize it elsewhere.
I guess we will see.
Aaron Chen’s comedy special last night was hilarious!
Now that the bachelor franchise seems to have (finally) gone I think ten should try something that capitalizes on the shows in the genre that are a success (like MAFS).
I know this is kinda scrapping the barrel but a show essentially like Bachelor in Paradise that beings together all the unlucky in loves, the ones from bachelor, farmer, MAFS, etc that were memorable but got dumped or didn’t find love. I assume all of these guys fall out of contract a year later so they would be ripe for the picking and I’m sure desperate to get back on TV.
Shove them all in a house or on an island and watch the drama unfold!!!
