Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

Good variety of shows at the moment too, feels like there’s something for everyone - if only that was a bit more consistent.

How many episodes of The Cheap Seats will there be ?

I suppose it’s what is possible if a network doesn’t buy any sports rights. There are funds left over to be used for these programs.

It’s just unfortunate it’s after encores that barely scrape pass 100k viewers so the movie won’t do much more than their crime shows which probably pull bigger consolidated.

I agree, lots of new content which is really good to see. Been watching 10 a lot lately.

I hate to be the one to bring up this topic again but adding a short late news bulletin after the 9.30(ish) shows would be great.

Everything old is new again.

If the rumour is true that it’s airing at 6-7pm, then it will absolutely flop. What a stupid time slot… but then again, they’d might as well air a test pattern then.
Not sure a 1 hour format will be good either. Loved this show because of the quick pace. It will drag out.

Feels like 10 would be best off building a strong afternoon lineup now that Neighbours and Bold take the 4PM hour.
Air this at 3pm?

I would have thought a 30 minute format at 6pm would have been a better if not safer option. If it was mildly successful it would help as a lead in to help lift The Project at 6.30pm.

Deal or No Deal started out as a one-hour format when it debuted on Seven in 2003.

Why was it trimmed back?

It started as a 1 hour show when it aired only on Sunday nights. IIRC it was cut to 30 minutes when it was stripped Monday to Friday.

Not opposed to 10 getting a game show back in their lineup, just not sure of the reported planned scheduling and how effective it will be.

A half hour version of Deal or No Deal at 6:30 as a lead into starting their Primetime at 7pm could possibly be a good option/differentiator and get the jump on the other networks.

At 6pm they could do a more current affairs style news bulletin with a twist to differentiate from the current rehash of stories from the 5pm hour, it won’t be local but can’t do worse than now? 3 x different 6pm gameshows haven’t worked so far either.

Then launch a weekly panel show maybe Sun-Thur at 9:00pm in the same vein as The Panel with elements of The Project tied in. Make it a bit edgier in the later slot, get people talking.

In any case, good to hear possible changes may be afoot and they’re looking at trying different things to improve where they’re at currently.

6.00 game shows haven’t been a winner for Ten in the past. I’m not sure what is going to be different now?

I’d be sorry to lose the 6.00 portion of the news, i often watch that leading into The Project

I’ll be updating the story soon as I’ve now been told now there are no changes to THE PROJECT.

That would suggest Deal will be 30 mins.

Ridiculous. Why do they keep protecting The Project?

It should be Neighbours at 6:30pm and Deal at 7pm.

Because it rates higher than the news and often higher than most of their prime time shows.

They can’t keep running The Project in its current form. The ratings are dire. Completely dropped off this year.

Sounds like it’ll be business as usual.

They just have no interest in fixing that 6-8:40pm line up.

It could be so much stronger with a less divisive program leading into it.
