Just don’t mention Reef Doctors 
There really is no rhyme or reason to Ten’s programming strategy. These ultra serious docos they’ve suddenly decided to air just don’t fit with their image and aren’t what viewers would expect from them. Surely they could plug a few holes in the schedule with cheap entertainment programming like that #AtHome viral video show CBS has been airing with revoiced intros from an Australian comedian instead of Cedric the Entertainer.

10 purchased the special in February.

10 also have the Rhys Darby in Japan special which was due to air to coincide with the Olympics, and has already aired in NZ, that they could show also.
Only because the season finished. With one week on Sundays I’m sure it’ll return to 8.30 or perhaps 9.30 after MS USA.
They’ll probably waste it on a Sunday morning.
What a mess of a schedule - why premiere Graham Norton only to bump it the following week for Junior Masterchef.
Why bother relatively heavy promotion of The Masked Singer USA only to not have it in the schedule at all the following week (unless there is no episode for whatever reason).

In the US, there is a vice-presidential election debate on Wednesday, October 7. If Fox is showing that debate, it could be the reason The Masked Singer won’t be on air that week.

Episodes 3 and 4 are currently in the FOX US schedule
Episode 5 will probably be preempted by the World Series.

The Masked Singer in the US - will be Pre emptied by the World Series as mentioned.
The commentator in the NFL game yesterday already said this as he is also the lead commentator for the World Series.
