Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

Correct, 10 are third in 18-49, 25-54 and 16-39 and “under 50s” which is their target.

They are third yes, but the margin is way smaller than in total people.

10 is the youngest skewing network.

They come first or second most nights in the demos. Total and network share are low

No but we can’t talk about one or two nights individually the initial comment is based on 10 eventually taking some risks so they aren’t third in those demos. They can’t just be lagging behind forever. Yes they have 3-4 good nights in the demos between certain times but they will need to work on the other slots and other nights to be a more trusted brand.

Someone will always have to be first, second and third… so my question is, what’s wrong with being third?

Dont read that as defeatist, but rather a fact and a serious question.

10 was third in the naughties and did it really well. They gave 7 and 9 a run for their money and turned a profit - which as a business is all that matters.

I think 10 is well on the way to being in the same boat again… but yes, they need a few risks - Australian Idol, Big Brother, Masterchef… all first of their genre and all on 10.

I agree they need to make a bold move, but only when the time is right.

YTD, 10 are third in ALL 3 demos.

And this is about the 7th year in a row 10 will finish the year 3rd in all demos.

10 used to be the #1 network in 16-39 - but that is a long time ago now.

Yes, 10 win some nights in demos - but they are still third. But they are far more competitive in demos that total people

So what’s happened to BH 90210? Dropped?

Exactly. Nothing wrong with being 3rd as long as you are a strong competitive 3rd and you are growing. Which 10 is.

That said, being 3rd is it as good as 2 or 1 - and I hope 10s goals are to be better than third. They put in a hell of a lot of work to come third for ever.

I think 10 works harder than any network (but not smarter)

It will be shown after Playing for Keeps on Wednesdays, starting this week.

Not sure why 10 didn’t put up a promo advising viewers of the time change.

Thanks. I had no idea where it went.

Because they’re hopeless at promotion?

Well I think kick it nailed it there. There isn’t anything wrong with third if you are being competitive. Which at times 10 are. But not consistently. The risk with running third is that you are a short distant away from fourth. And then if you are playing it too safe viewers will switch of FTA and make their way to the high volumes of streaming services available - or like some of our members here a UK reality show rather than a locally produced one.

Agree.

It’s so frustrating to me.

10 would be #2 network in demos and all people if 6-7 worked for them.

And 6-7 working would mean even higher viewership for 7-1030 too

Playing For Keeps ‘encored’ tonight following Gogglebox.

Jamie special bumped for this Royal special on Tuesday night next week it seems.

This is an ITN Productions in conjunction with ITV News, led by ITV News At Ten anchor Tom Bradby and is airing in the UK this Sunday evening at 9pm. Also airing on ABC (US) as a ABC News Presents special.

Seems 10 are confused at what is airing on Tues 22nd at 7:30pm, according to this post and the promo One Born Every Minute has been brought forward to 7:30pm also?

However in the above promo for the Harry & Meghan special, the voiceover says “premieres 7:30 Tuesday, followed by One Born Every Minute”.

Harry And Meghan: An African Journey

Tuesday 22 October At 7.30pm.

Inside The Tour That Made Headlines Around The World.

In a special film presentation, we join the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their recent royal tour of Southern Africa, the notable moment where they decided to fight back against British Tabloid press.

Premiering in Australia on Monday, 21 October at 11am on 10 Play and on 10 and WIN Network on Tuesday, 22 October at 7.30pm, Harry And Meghan: An African Journey takes you into the private lives of two very public figures.

Filmed across South Africa, Angola, Malawi and Botswana, The Duke and Duchess speak exclusively to British news anchor Tom Bradby about the causes and issues they care most about and their fresh and personal approach to being modern Royals.

Touring with the world’s most talked-about couple, Tom explores their compassion and impactful work, alongside the challenges and pressure they face living as a young family on the global stage trying to balance their public duties and private life under media scrutiny.

On his latest project with the royals, Tom said: “This is the third documentary I’ve made with Prince Harry in Africa. I expected it to be an interesting journey but this ended up being a fascinating insight taking in their passion for their work, their private happiness and the challenge and pressure of balancing their public duties and family life.”

Reflecting on his relationship with Africa, Prince Harry said, “Ever since I came to this continent as a young boy, trying to cope with something I can never possibly describe, Africa has held me in an embrace that I will never forget.”

Harry And Meghan: An African Journey takes a behind the scenes look at this modern Royal couple, providing a vivid insight into the causes and issues they care so deeply about.

So that leaves six episodes of Jamie’s Ultimate Veg and his Channel 4 interview for December, one would expect.

Did you pull this video from before or after the press release that the Royal Special was in at 7.30?

I saw their twitter post about the Harry & Megan special first on Twitter and then later saw their Facebook post about One Born Every Minute airing at 7:30pm also, hard to see which one was posted first.

Still doesn’t look good when they’ve obviously pulled Jamie from the schedule, one would think they’ve gone to brought One Born Every Minute forward to 7:30pm and then replaced that with the royal special but not told their social teams that it’s staying in the same 8:30pm timeslot?

They should’ve pulled the video off Facebook… or at least updated the post…

Something is going on with them at the moment though. The week the Bachelorette launched I saw Bondi Rescue being promoted in the same slot as the premier of The Bachelorette all the way up until the Tuesday night. It doesn’t bother me but that 20 second slot could have been used for something else. It would be such a waste of $$$
