I believe Gold Coast Cops consisted of 2 seasons of 10 episodes each.
Territory Cops was picked up by Ten for S2 after previously airing on Foxtel.
Likely both were not renewed due to cost vs ratings and ad revenue generated from both.
Is there government/local funding for some of these shows though? Surely they local government would invest in shows like Bondi Rescue as it ramps up tourism in the area. Other shows such as Border etc would grow awareness and risk factors when traveling.
Really, what makes them so expensive? Seems like it would be pretty cheap to have a camera crew follow the subjects around for a few weeks and then cut a bunch of episodes together in an edit suite.

Does anyone know when the first episode of Playing For Keeps will be encored? Guessing this Friday and/or Saturday night?

I wasn’t comparing factuals to that.
As for the cost, the higher quality productions will have a soundo, cammo and producer tagging along. Usually, yes, they are cofunded by the media unit as it is good publicity (Motorbike Cops, or whatever it’s called on 7 actually promotes recruitment in the end credits)
It’s expensive because of the sheer hours involved to make 22 minutes… not all of one episode happens in a night.
As for Ambulance, as I understand it, they have multiple crews out on the night so they can capture each side of the 000 call.

No way. Game of Games will be a 7:30 show and so will Blind Dates. Expect to see Game of Games 7:30 Sunday and Blind Dates 7:30 Monday and Ambulance Australia 7:30 Tuesday.
Surprised we have not heard about secret life of four year olds (or whatever its called).
But when will Australian Survivor and The Bachelor conclude?
In about 2 weeks I think.

Why do Ten refuse to shake up their weekend network line-up? Do they feel they can’t compete with sport and all the movies across Seven and Nine, plus want a point of difference?

To be fair, Ten have tried all sorts of combos on Saturdays and launched some new Sunday programming options over the last year or so. To say they refuse to “shake it up” isn’t exactly accurate, but it’s fair to say they haven’t really found any relief yet with what they’ve done to date and we know they are trying new things soon.
