Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

Probably Unaired Episodes of the Dog House Australia.

Jamies winter recipes must be ready to serve up !

Well, 10 has Jamie Oliver: Together up its sleeve. It aired in Britain in September-October 2021 and is only 4 episodes long.

With the ratings Ninja is pumping out not sure why 10 would hold off.

10 just aired an ad for “Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod” during MasterChef. Perhaps that first time that ad has aired? Looks good, and is “coming soon to 10”.

Yes, and there is a thread for Brain Eisteddfod.

I think it will be paired with Hunted.

So we will see Shaun on 2 networks with Mad as Hell coming back next month.

I agree with others. Not sure why they would hold off on Hunted. They can just keep it off for one night.

10 announced this morning that Hunted would debut on July 17. With MasterChef finale on July 12, that means on July 13 it will show something else against State of Origin.

That’s only the 13 and 14th they need to program between shows. Not ideal, but also not the end of the world either if they use filler content.

So the premiere of Hunted will go against the season premiere of Beauty And The Geek.

I see that 10 is moving The Dog House to 30 minutes later on Saturdays. The new episode has been rating lower than the repeat that follows. The new one must pick up viewers perhaps when ACA finishes so a 7.30 pm start is a good move.

A rpt of The Dog House on Wednesday followed by a new ep on Thursday? 10 schedulers are crazy, there already doubling up with 2 x eps of the UK version on Saturdays. Saturation overload and will lead to the quick demise of this show.

I get it’s filler content for a couple of nights, but why can’t they plan ahead and have specials or alternative programming to fill these gaps between series finishing and new ones starting.

Also, when will they do something about 6pm Saturdays and realise whatever cheap programming they air on that timeslot will tank up against the competition. Whilst Dog House airing 30 mins later may help somewhat, Luxury Escapes ain’t the solution.

61 episodes of masterchef is ridiculous. Not one 60 mjn episode. All 70mins and longer. These people are nuts with this type of programming.

Assuming the actual final itself will be split over Monday & Tuesday because if it’s not, it would be a short final for MasterChef standards - especially considering it probably won’t be able to run too much past 9pm due to the Man United v Liverpool coverage later on.

Well… it’s kinda worked for them for the last 13 years or so.

This season has performed well by 2022 standards.

This model rates and works for Australia FTA in 2022. All three networks pad out their reality tentpoles to squeeze more ad revenue and ratings share in.

Understandable but doesn’t make it right or particularly compelling for the audiences. Who can sit through 61 episodes of masterchef. I know it was a hit in the past and appointment viewing but in the days of streaming and short sharp alternatives, I think our networks need to evolve their content propositions.

It has been replaced by an encore of The Secrets She Keeps season 1, ahead of season 2 premiere on Paramount+ next Tuesday.
