Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

From Sandra Sully’s Srellar magazine interview this weekend:

“And there is also her role co-hosting the annual Australia Day Concert at the Sydney Opera House to look forward to in the new year.”

Looks like Ten will again be broadcasting the concert for 2018 if Sandra is involved, I wonder if the co-host role joins Denyer or replaces the roving host like KAK did last year.

When will we find out about 20th Century Fox shows and where they ended up ?

When you either see something online or posted on these forums about it most likely.

Asking the same question and expecting a different result every time isn’t a good strategy.

Grant Denyer will co-host the Australia Day concert with Sandra next year. First confirmed performer is Anthony Callea. John Foreman will return as conductor.

I read it in the Sunday Sun, a good read, particularly the part about how it’s affected her to this day and how she didn’t tell anyone but family for a decade.

Good to see them commissioning more prime time specials, especially Christmas themed - Justine is great presenter.

A CBS special event which aired recently in the US and available on CBS All Access, surely they could’ve schedule at 6:30pm Sunday rather than a dead Friday night.

Sounds about right. Could work for a Friday night audience. I wonder what the classification is, M?

Why two lots of SVU repeats (Thur and Sat)?

And Wednesday

Bruno Mars isn’t my cup of tea, but I have often thought that this type of “live” entertainment would be a great alternative on Fridays. I hope it goes well and Ten buy up other concerts to air on Fridays (the comedy specials could air here too). They could even air them from 8:30 and shift Graham Norton to Saturday’s the same week it’s aired in the UK.

Scheduling it on a Saturday night would be a waste.

Is that the first of CBS’s influence? Just aired last week on CBS…

More likely just a case of Ten’s contract with CBS making it easier/cheaper to purchase.

The Bruno Mars special is on one of the music channels on Foxtel this week, so it won’t be first run for Ten.

While the WBBL03 game between Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat is on Ten HD in Perth next Sunday morning, studio 10 will be played on ONE at 9:30AM.

Doesn’t even need to be played since weekends are only highlights from what aired the previous week.

Only reasonable excuse would be advertisers being promised certain reach numbers.

that, and to fill the schedule…

I meant in context of airing in Perth next Sunday. Just because it airs in four markets, doesn’t really need to air in the fifth. It isn’t new content.

Might be a contractual obligation to sponsors etc.
