Ten Network & Paramount+ 2025

Can’t believe we may be living in an era where 10 is no longer dead weight in terms of content and competitiveness in the media industry.
Good on them for a quite good Upfronts.
Am excited to see what 2025 brings

Don’t be such a party pooper! Why won’t it be decent?, don’t just make a sweeping statement, give your reasons. I am way outside the age group for this program but I can’t wait. It may not work after what 7 did to the format but good on 10 for trying to resucitate it and to do it properly.

It doesn’t explicitly state that obviously David, but it goes from asking for another serve of the judges for Masterchef then mentioning a comeback of the Masterchef Back to Win format.

Again, when I saw TVT mention this and read the article I didn’t think twice that it might’ve meant 2 seasons - probably just scanning quickly as there is a lot to go through.

Okay, okay, no need to use my name condescendingly, I was genuinely asking how it was written so I could understand the confusion for myself.

The press release also isn’t well formatted IMO

I’m not as sold on 10s upfronts as others. Big brother show that has done the rounds on all networks, talking about your gen a show that’s been done twice and bunch of double seasons. It’s not exactly exciting to me.

I will definitely tune into big brother but I’m not sure it will keep me.

Yep. If only there was more innovation with new ideas and new talent.

Gretel was the sole reason for my not watching It while it was on 10.
She’s another try hard in my books.

Looking forward to what Mel will bring to the franchise.

To each their own, Gretel + the great casting for seasons 1-4 was the thing that made the show iconic back in the day imo.

Any coverage of the upfront on 10 news? Ang bishop normally files a report.

I reckon they may not have announced a new season Amazing Race because it’s still airing they wanted to see how it would go again this year. It’s been a solid season so far and rating okayish for a renewal.

Same with Thank God You’re Here I reckon.

Yes there was a report on the news.

The set for the upfronts looked pretty decent. There was even a ceiling screen with scrolling footage.

Standard practice really not to announce any current or yet to premiere shows at upfronts events, an announcement at the upfronts is not really a guarantee either that something will go ahead.

Plenty of shows have been dropped after being renewed when they’ve flopped, or some projects never got off the ground etc.

The interview with McGarvey annoyed me the most. Her response to the question regarding the Rugby League rights was pathetic. I seriously don’t understand how she’s the head of Paramount in Australia. She is useless and has no business acumen.

I think Seven announced Big Brother at last year’s before it bombed and got axed.

What was her answer to the RL question?

Something about “we’ll take a look at it but he just wants to know they’re out in the market to drive the price”. She is never enthusiastic of talking up the brand and look at sports to drive and underpin the network. She’s a fool.

No Bev, you kinda need it!
