Well then 10 is shooting themselves in the foot with having second season’s of Survivor and MasterChef to close to each other if they end up scheduling it in Q3.
Calm down. You don’t know the schedule. Just wait and see. They’ll be aware of it so they’ll manage it accordingly.
I get that, but I don’t see where else they can schedule it without it being too close. That’s all.
Yes but remember this isn’t the complete list of shows.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if we see:
Feb/ March - Survivor
April/ May/ June - MasterChef
Other programs in between
September Big Brother
And end of the year Survivor 2 nights and MasterChef 2 nights
Survivor Australia v World is also rumoured to only be 14 players over 14 days so I assume it will run for 3-4 weeks in the year whereas we know the regular season is 8 weeks.
I think the piece I’m interested in is how many weeks they run BB. I hope it’s similar to the UK revival in that they go for 16 housemates over 42 days with a 6 week run. Short sharp and able to generate some buzz being back to live unlike Idol which still records earlier in the day.
Do we think BB goes back to the Sydney Showgrounds? I don’t think Dreamworld is an option and Endemol will probably want to keep it a Sydney operation given their base is here.
Hrmm, well, if they make Big Brother on the cheap at least it will give 10 lots of local content. Not sure it will work though but Mel is a great choice for host.
Pang’s new show, Staycation, the List and Airport 24/7 could all be good. Ghosts remake, however, I’m not convinced.
Edit: House Hunters Australia could be a good Friday night show.
Just seems like an attempt to make an Australian version of an overseas show rather than innovate with completely new ideas from Australia storytellers.
Also lack of local drama outside of NCIS Sydney (also for Paramount+) and Neighbours (Mainly funded by Amazon, and airing at 4pm + 6:30pm on 10 Peach in Aus)
Interesting to note there’s nothing about Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless and The Gates (assuming they have it).
They must have changed their minds about airing them on 10.
There’s nothing about any of the daytime shows (including local cooking shows) in the press-release, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they just drop it into the schedule without fanfare at some point, like they have done with all the new afternoon game shows.
These afternoon game shows must be working for 10? Shame we have no numbers.
Ahh the thought of a big a brother on ten again. Well done ten. Not.
At least it’s live and with a decent host
10 seemed to run a tighter ship now, almost no leaks before the Upfronts and no mention of of the big projects before today.
Hands down the best upfront in years by 10.
Big Brother will never be decent . As far as I’m concerned ten are just recycling a dead format.
10 are the home of reviving dead formats.
Australian Survivor and The Amazing Race are just some examples.
TV Tonight have made a correction.
Only ONE season of MasterChef.
Not just 10, all networks do that.
Not to get too off topic but Seven revived AGT, Farmer, The Voice, Big Brother, Australian Idol, and are bringing back First Date - and it’s no surprise given their track record of launching new formats in this market.
I did wonder that, and thought it may have just been interpreted that way given how the release was written.
Prime examples of good resurrections. Anyway but rest of the line up looks good..![]()
How was it written? I can’t find anything that insinuates 2 seasons?
