Live Big Brother is bloody awesome. Seven and Nine ruined it with the delays.
Sam Pang new sbow? Nice. Please revive Santo Sam and Ed’s Football Fever please

Wasn’t Nine also live but just really bad?
Would go well with them having the rights to so much Football - do they even have any magazine shows on Paramount+ as part of their coverage.
Where do we think Sam’s new show will go, Sunday nights after reality etc?
Would have to be away from The Front Bar, you would think.
I think it could work as something that they can run on Wednesday nights after the AFL is finished for the year, especially if they are still working out what it is. Or even Thursday nights in late October/November once Gogglebox finishes for the year
Sunday’s would be too close to HYBA on Monday IMO.
Surprised but love that Big Brother is back on 10. The original format was far superior to 9 and 7s incarnations. Hopefully Mel is as successful as Gretel was. She was a key component of the show’s success which was well and truly discovered once she left.
A point of difference in the very early years was BB commencing at 7pm each night. Perhaps thats something 10 should consider with their reality shows to get a head start on the competition.
Weekly series to me gives the impression it’s a year round weekly show, along the lines of HYBPA?, Cheap Seats etc.
That’s why I thought earlier in the week would be better, Sunday nights’ 10 have recently cleared the decks for a 8/8:30pm series?
Agree it would be close to Monday nights HYBPA though, not sure if that’s a good thing or not.
Could it be something that 10 uses to fill in the 8:30pm slot while HYBA is off air for the first quarter? Not sure if Sam does the comedy festivals or not (don’t think he was at the Adelaide Fringe), so maybe they could try that there.
I’m a Celeb should be starting a week earlier to provide an alternative to the Aus Open & BBL. To be honest, there’s an argument that it should begin two weeks earlier at the start of January.

Another point - having two seasons of both Australian Survivor and MasterChef (and especially going back to previously used themes) is lazy programming and should be called out as such. If 10 wants to do that, at least do something different such as MasterChef: The Professionals.
Also no mention of Bondi Rescue or Ambulance Australia at upfronts.
Agreed - it’s overkill IMO - especially with MasterChef, which still does very well for 10.
Seven did this with MRK and Big Brother - viewer fatigue caused the end of both shows original run’s on the network (although MKR is now back on Seven, and Big Brother’s now on 10).
A bit like back to the future, with BB and Talkin’ 'Bout Your Gen returning to 10 for their second stint.
I love MasterChef Australia and Survivor but reckon two seasons of both is a bit too much. Looking further ahead, it will be interesting to see how overseas broadcasters will schedule the four shows in 2025 and even 2026.
Fingers crossed that Hunted and The Amazing Race Australia will return.
Thai is pretty impressive overall. Not sure what the ‘grid’ and layout of the year looks like but surely that’s enough tentpoles to stretch the year (hopefully just 3 nights a week for most) and then other bits to fill the 8.30 and wed/thurs schedule.
House hunters looks set for Fridays which would be good.
Big brother is soooo exciting. I really hope they do it well and take it back to what we loved about the older version. I love Mel and think she will be great at this.
I’d say Sam’s show will either be a tonight show (like rove) or an angry man show (like Hughesy) where he just pokes fun at stuff. Either way I’m excited to have more pang on the TV- I wonder if it’s working dog??
Hopefully Shaun returns again.
Hopefully they do, but if they are airing two season’s of MasterChef and Survivor, some shows may have to be rested to make room.
It says new host and captains.
One of the most exciting upfronts in a long time! I definitely did not expect that from 10.
Ah okay.
A post was merged into an existing topic: Big Brother
I think this could be 10’s 7:30pm reality line-up (based on the info so far):
January-Feb: I’m A Celebrity
Feb-April: Survivor Brains V Brawns
April-June: MasterChef
June-August: Big Brother
August-October: Survivor World
October-November: MasterChef Back to Win
Timings are estimate, but could see Big Brother in the middle to split between the two seasons of Survivor and MasterChef with I’m A Celeb in Janurary.
Not bad at all. Some good depth in there with some new-ish ideas coupled with a few reboots with potential (Big Brother, TBYG). Still think they’re missing one reality format for 7.30 but otherwise I’m impressed.
But having two seasons of Masterchef and Survivor is going to be an issue. Survivor sure if the second season is going to be shorter, but why not another season of Dessert Masters? Unless if they’ve run out of dessert chefs already…
Hunted and Amazing Race has done alright this year, not great but OK. It’s not like The Traitors that absolutely bombed. Surely they’d be back for a new season next year for a bit more variety? But then again this is from the same guy that wants The Masked Singer back as well so I’m probably not the right choice to ask for programming ideas
June isn’t Q4,
Big Brother will be later than that.
