I’ll take a look at my EPG tonight but there’s been a little problem with potentially recording the shutdown didn’t get my PVR delivered yesterday, I have asked a friend of mine who lives about 20kms out of Ouyen to record it for me so I really hope they are able to record It for me.
Even if you record the TV with your phone, I’m sure many of us would still appreciate it
I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy A14 which does not have the best camera as I use a DSLR camera for taking photos, but I’ll still give It a shot for you.
Not a dumb question at all the advert wasn’t the best I’ve been surfing into TV Tonight since the announcement & there was no story today on the shutdown but I have no doubt there will be another article on the shutdown tomorrow.
Just checked my EPG & there is programming after midnight went to tomorrow night & at 11:30pm it lists the Sunday project which goes for 1 hour so we could see things going black halfway through.
In terms of anything we might we on screen after 12.01am Monday 1 July, the best we can probably hope for is a static message that might be something like this…
I reckon this but it’ll be black, arial black font and no logo
Maybe even a mention of the WIN website since the ad had that too
Will probably show that closedown ad on a loop.
Should just go to black at midnight, but may just surprise us.
12:05AM here In Ouyen & MDT is still on air so tonight is the night I’ll test my phone video today & hope for the best tonight.
WIN scenic loops if we are lucky.
Could be, but I doubt It the service is completely shutting down with the company being wound up then next week they will most likely decommission the transmitter at Yatpool, Then they would possibly remove It & take the antenna down from the tower no point having It there If there’s no service for its use.
A loop of WIN Mappy doing the Macarena
With $$$ signs/notes falling all around it?
I think people aren’t realising that Channel 10 or the joint venture owners don’t owe anyone a TV station in the area.
End of the day they are a business and the government shouldn’t be saving them because they’ve failed to run a profitable station. They already fund a nationwide broadcasting corporation catering to these areas.
If this is an issue for residents they can go up to JB Hi-Fi and buy a streaming box or something.
Unless legally required to do so, I seriously doubt the JV would remove the equipment used by 10 Mildura as it will cost them money to remove it. As far as it being an asset, technological products aren’t going to be sold for much being secondhand in an ever evolving technological market and really finding a buyer will be difficult as well.
As for the possible argument of a tax written, residual value etc, there is a high probability that this won’t be relevant as 10 Mildura has already been said to be a loss making venture
Can’t wait to just see this at midnight
Very dark and moody!
I like it!
Though i can’t really imagine WIN putting anything about this on their website, since it’s meant to be a JV with 7.
They put it in the closing down ad
