You can definitely tell when they are running a pre-recorded interview as the lower thirds and graphics are incredibly blurry and horrible.

If there’s going to be pre-recorded studio segments in otherwise live programs, can’t there at least be an effort made to record/air the pre-recorded studio segments in native HD like the live segments are? A minor thing I know, but going from live HD to pre-recorded SD and back again really isn’t a good look IMO.

It happens in Sydney’s news too with live looks except it’s even more obvious

Perhaps they could introduce an on-air warning system so viewers can look away in case they inadvertently see something not in HD?

This ^^ Best thing I’ve seen on here to date.

I dunno about the complainers, but i’d rather see some HD content on TEN (especially sports) than nothing at all.

Haha, love it!

As I’ve said before, Seven’s approach to HD with their two tier system just so a minority of AFL fans without Pay TV in Sydney and Brisbane can watch AFL matches in HD (and only where available!) annoys me far more than Ten’s.

But after 3-4 months, I think it’s quite reasonable to say that Ten aren’t doing a good enough job with their HD channel if there’s still a relatively limited amount of native HD content in primetime.

@lexington Do you know why 4 months in we are still not getting US content in HD, when HD delivery is the world standard for years now?

I thought TEN HD was launched to coincide with the Supercars championship at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

The thing that matters is sport in crystal clear HD.

the only thing I can think of is that the contracts stated SD delivery for this season. I’d assume that come Fall they’ll have a new delivery contract in place.

the watermark is in HD though.
