My parents have an earlier version of this remote. I don’t like it at all.

I reckon within 5 years TVs won’t have dedicated remotes at all… everything will be done by voice or gestures eg. “Volume up please” or “Channel 7 please”.

Or via Smart phone remote app.

The voice commands would have to get alot better for that to be a possibility.

Yeah, voice response is set up as a default and it keeps activating when people say something on the program I’m watching. :man_shrugging:

Yes the false activations seem much better than they were a few years ago.

Hopefully this paves the way for de-Googlefied Android devices becoming more mainstream.

Not sure on other plans, but happy to see my Aussie plan has actually dropped from $149 to $129

I was on the same plan but I had to move to an area that only has FTTC and I am awaiting an upgrade to FTTP which the owner of the apartment block needs to sort out unfortunately. But ultimately when the upgrade eventually comes it will be better then the HFC I had at my old place.

That’s a big difference between the maximum and typical evening speed compared to lesser plans ie. 1,000 Mbps vs 600 though.

Did you ever get close to 1,000 Mbps down?

I’m on TPG 100/20, and my actual speed is actually a bit faster than that (i often get 105 Mbps down, even in the evening).

When I tested most of the time I got over 900 even during peak times. Sometimes it was well under but that was unusual. Uploads were also about 40 most of the time.

I have seen 1000+ a few times, but mostly sit around 750-950.

So apparently I helped then reach 50 billion tests. lol

The ban only affects sales of Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in America.

Biden Administration didn’t veto the ban so the Ultra 2 and Apple Watch series 9 have been pulled off the Apple shelves / online store but remains to be sold at other departments / shops in US until stock runs out.

The import ban has been temporarily lifted after Apple made an emergency request to the US Court of Appeals.

So I broke my laptop the other day so I’m stuck with my old ipad until it’s fixed. Now I realise how bad iPads are. :face_with_peeking_eye:   :joy:

I tested it the other day and it’s pretty much working fine it’s just annoying external damage. Looks like it’s going to be a lot to repair though as the value of this laptop has dropped a lot so perfect excuse for a new one. :joy:
