I think they need to do this with the iPhone nomenclature too, 16, 17, 18 etc are a bit meaningless now, even if it effectively means copying Samsung.
Microsoft begins Authenticator Password Phase-Out this weekend
This weekend, Microsoft will start turning off password management functionality in its Authenticator app. If you use the app, from June 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to save new passwords. In July, autofill will stop working and a month later, saved passwords will no longer be accessible.
Microsoft is phasing out the password management and autofill features of its Authenticator app to consolidate them within the Microsoft Edge browser. This change is akin to what Google did with Chrome.
Call it iOs Ripoff, Same Same, Boring, Baked Potato, etc.
CONFIRMED: The next updates across Appleâs platforms wonât be iOS 19, iPadOS 19, macOS 16, tvOS 19, watchOS 12 and visionOS 3. Instead, the OS numbers will be streamlined and will now go by year, i.e: 2026 = iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26 and visionOS 26.
And, (spoiler alert) the OSes are getting a new design as well.
If youâre a real tech nerd, developer betas will be available after the WWDC keynote, then public betas will be out in July for the curious public to try out, before the general public receives these OSes in circa September/October 2025.
Ive got the beta on my 16 Pro. no real thoughts yet except the glass look is a change. unsure if i like it or not though
Apple announced its new âliquid glassâ feature this week, but when it uploaded a YouTube video announcing the big development, the cover photo was obscured by a large play button in an awkwardly unflattering way. pic.twitter.com/hA6XvFyDmg

Apple has responded by altering their YT thumbnail after it sparked a memefestâŚ
The update begins with Pixel 6 and newer phones, with Samsung and other manufacturers expected to follow later in the year.
Yeah it popped up on my Pixel 9 Pro XL yesterday morning, gave me a surprise
Oh great. I donât think Samsung users (like me) will ever get this because theyâre still rolling out Android 15!
if i was going to switch to android, pixel is the only option for me. its frustrating how slow the roll out of major updates is on android. Iâm on IOS and already running the beta of IOS 26;
This is pretty cool, worth a go if youâve got an iphone
