Ive seen these square codes in some stores. Mostly on the stickers they add to a product that has been marked down from memory.
The main thing is qr codes are a lot more secure whereas barcodes are not.
Online only?
That gotta suck.
And blows.
Gotta have more bowling balls to lift up.
Yeah I saw that the site was back up. About a day or 2 before that headline. Was going to point it out here but any talk about the site for this chain being reborn was either none or very niche at the timeā¦
Iām not sure what they mean by relaunch. I guess itās just moved operations into the new company. It still looks the exact same as it was two months ago, and still has a small range of products?
My Australia retail predictions for the year ahead:
- David Jones announces a second wave of existing Store modernisations
- Myer Secures a site at Brisbane City in Queensland
- TK Maxx opens a store or two at Geelong region in Victoria
- Harris Scarfe opens a full size store at Mildura (Where Kmart currently sits) in Victoria as well as Bendigo
These are ongoing. After completing the renovations to the David Jones flagship store in Sydney city, they refurbished Burwood and Bondi Junction recently. They are currently refurbishing Chatswood.
And still not selling Dyson.
Well that sucks.
My predictions which stores will be next to be modernised:
- Parramatta, NSW
- Warringah Mall (Already on the Cards?), NSW
- Castle Hill, NSW
- Chadstone, VIC
- Brisbane City (QueensPlaza), QLD
- Booragoon, WA
I donāt see the point of making these prediction lists.
Probably isnāt, I guess thatās just what interests him.
Another Coles supermarket bites the dustā¦

The Coles at Port Adelaide Plaza is making way for a new Woolworths. The Kmart that was there changed to a Big W recently.
I grew up going there when it was a Bi-Lo, with a massive Coles/Kmart down the road 500m, it makes sense to redevelop the space as itās tiny.
