A ‘collectable’ that seems to be useful rather than being garbage.

I hadn’t noticed until today that most of the menswear in Kmart is made in Bangladesh. There is also a chunk made in India. Some T-shirts and the underwear, socks, shoes and sleepwear and jackets are still mostly from China.

Its been like this for a few years. There was a story in the news about KMart a few years back when one of their factories in Bangladesh collapsed and how it would affect their supply chain.

Nothing more Australian than wearing a Made in USA t-shirt made in Bangladesh.

Not sure why they’re taking their Woolworths branding of this? Are there plans to expand it to other businesses?

They may as well. It’s not doing much - really all you get is $10 off your shopping at 2000 points and Qantas points (I think). Not much bang for your buck!

They give you freebies to try. If you chase some of their offers, you get bonus points so you get your $10 faster.

You can play the system and get offered bonus points. I had shopped at Coles for about 6 weeks when they offered bonuses. Then Woolies started offering bonus points for spending a certain amounts so now I’m back at Woolies for the last three weeks. I’m sure Coles will send me an email soon offering bonuses to return there.

A lot of those freebies and bonus points are for stuff I don’t buy. Ditto with Flybuys.

Of the majors, Woolies is the closet at Marsden Park and Schofields, Coles is a longer drive to Stanhope Gardens and Aldi is at both Marsden Park and Stanhope Gardens. IGA is actually across the road from me and has most of what I need but don’t do things like home delivery (which I need now as I am at home self-isolating).

I don’t mind this, because people in my area ahve decided that we are safe in shops and we dodn’t need to wear masks when in cues in Woolies. The amount of convos i have had and people saying i wont’ die from it, because it’s not real, is just mind blowing. Absolutely mind blowing.

As long as they have enough of the single use ones somewhere, fine I’ll do it.

Still trying to find one that doesn’t fog up my glasses when I breathe.

Nationwide? First I’ve heard of it in WA. I wont be wearing it until its compulsory.

EDIT: Nope, not nationwide

My mistake then, our local paper in Bathurst has reported otherwise :+1:
