Did you check the other 3 sides?

Big and tall menswear store High and Mighty are closing down, three stores in Melbourne city store is next to DJ’s men’s store rear entrance on Little Collins St and one in Sydney.

Now that big sizes are pretty much available everywhere off the rack, perhaps their customer base dwindled?

Perhaps, much better quality (and service) from there, however of course with that came price. I think online would have had a bigger impact, although sizes are so eratic and unpredictable between brands, I find online an absolute headache as a larger gent.

Not surprised, I feel like Johnny Bigg has probably had the main bricks and mortar impact on them.

Interesting, never heard of them. Will check them out, their website suggests they sit somewhere between say Myer’s big man range and High and Mighty.

Coles is rolling out a seating area at its Tooronga Village store in Melbourne’s east, close to the company’s headquarters, so shoppers can have food from stalls like Earl Canteen or Sushi Sushi.

It’ll be interesting to see if this works. Woolworths tried this at their big supermarket in Wolli Creek a few years ago, next to their cafe. The seating seems to have disappeared now.

This is obviously a PR puff piece for Coles, as they’ve had seating in select locations that have had Cafes / Coffee rolled out for years now.

This is my local Coles and I noticed this when I went to do my shop last Friday night. I also noticed that they have put some weird new plastic thing on all the trolley handles which looks like it’s got a cup holder (for people to put their coffee?) and another rectangular section that is enclosed by a cover which I have no idea what it is for. Maybe a spot for food on the go to encourage people to buy from this cafe within Coles and eat/drink whilst they shop?

Is it to rest your mobile phone? I’ve seen some trolleys with a cup holder and mobile phone holder at Woolworths Double Bay.

My local Woollies has those, The only time I tried a coffee in it it fell out, if I have my kid with me he likes drumming on the rectangular bit.

Maybe that’s it. I dunno.

I am watching the Today Show this morning. Coles had a 15 second advertisement showing that they have cut the price of their own brand of six English muffins from $2.10 to $2.

A saving of 10c.

That’s 1.7c per muffin.

Nothing much is happening at Coles.

Every time I’ve brought Coles English muffins in the past, they have always been mouldy.

The Tip Top ones are the best English Muffins I’ve ever tasted.
Hard to beat once toasted and with margarine and Vegemite - yum!
They’re expensive at full price ($5 per pack of 6) but can often be had on special at $2.50.

Margarine? No way. Tip Top muffins, Vegemite and butter. Lots of butter.

I like butter too, can be hard to spread evenly though.
