Since it is streamed via 2SM, maybe his “fans” have followed him?
First call in the ‘full show’ podcast - which wasn’t actually the full show - being a Qanon-type mentioning a world government as the reason for not upgrading the Bruce Highway is quite a tone setter.
The Super Radio Network. Now home to all your conspiracy theorist uncles.
Did Chris Smith take any calls today from the SRN regulars which pop up during other shifts?
B-Rock is now evidently taking the Supernetwork 80s to now feed…did I miss something? I knew it would happen eventually but still not good.
Since it doesn’t stream, no, probably because none of us could ever really find out (other than being within cooee of Bathurst).
I hope they fix that soon!
B Rock streams fine for me on RadioApp, same with 2BS. The Camplins weren’t dinosaurs and set it up long before Bill got there.
Have some of the SRN stations started streaming other than 2SM?
Thats a development
Strange. Just flicked on the B-Rock stream and it’s running the usual rock mix. But I could have sworn I heard the ‘80s to now’ jingle on 99.3 and also a pop tune that I couldn’t identify.
Maybe its just a slogan change?
Didn’t know that!
Checking their web stream it seems normal? Did you catch them during Will and Woody, perhaps they take a network feed for the music during that show, which is seemingly the only thing network they seem to take based on the schedule.
Trusting their log on the site there’s some weird out of format selections occasionally, but on the whole it seems like it’s still a broad rock format. Weirdly it looks like most of the out of format songs are also weirdly capitalised - like they weren’t previously in their rotation, dunno about the timestamps as well.

This was about an hour ago so yeah, that makes sense. I need to pay @Moe attention, though this was a cursory flick through the dial during an Es opening.
Yeah - similar happened with Power 100 - took on the “Better music and more of it” slogan from the rest of the ARN Gold Network regionals so people got worried, but still has the rock format.
Funnily enough when i Was in Newcastle last week NEW FM’s RDS had songs in All Captials… I’m wondering if thats from the SRN Library getting added in?
I think that’s precisely what’s happening at B-Rock. Just having a listen more closely, they just played a B-Rock ID and then an ‘80s to now’ ID, followed by a pop/rap track. If that’s what they’re doing, we have a dog’s breakfast of a station…nothing new for SRN. Another good station in the bin.
Its amazing how meta data can actually help us fact find lol.
But agreed, if they are going to do this it just means another one dead. The only one I can think of here in Aus that is part of a network but is being left alone(at least for now) is Power100 Townsville.
I just got the below from their facebook page. This was posted on the 24/12/24.
During the Xmas period the B-Rock staff are spending a well earned break with their friends and family so local programming will take a break from Saturday (21st Dec) and return on Monday (6th Jan).
During this time, we’ll bring you the network/simulcast ‘Sounds of Summer’ which includes the best hits from the 80’s to 2024. We hope you have a great & safe Christmas and New Year, cheers.
Except that we’re now past the 6th and this was heard last night. Today I’ll have a listen to their workday programming if I get the chance; hopefully they are still local with the rock log.
