The promos are saying there’ll be some music played in Ron’s new show too.
A bunch of the BOG AM and FM regionals have FIIIINALLLYYY gotten new websites.
No streaming. But a professional website at that.
With a lot of other radio stations moving away from a significant presence with a website and focusing more on socials, its an interesting move to launch a whole raft of websites that are effectively the same with different colours and presenter photos
Will not be missed by many, a nasty piece of work. Many first time radio employees had their spirit broken by such an awful individual.
Shows how desperate Radio Yesterday is to laud such individuals. ‘Tools turn into top blokes after death’ lives on strong there.
The Alan and Ray obits sure to be jarringly out of touch with reality and community expectation.
Shhhh!!! According to some here, we can’t tell the truth about the dead.
I’ve never cared much for that as you know @MarkHD
Decades of reports of poor behaviour from Lismore.
It’s no lie. The dead can’t be defamed.
The obligation for photos was a regular source of amusement and concern. @Not_Responsible
Lismore is a great market, decent sized regional market. FM co located with TV and ABC signals provides a whole of region coverage. Can be heard in the car from Tallebudgera Creek to beyond Halfway Creek and west towards Tenterfield.
Callum has lasted 12 years so far in the market. Great seeing he’s GM now.
Hopefully FM 91.3 2LM becomes a reality sooner rather than later.
Getting back on topic. Can we take a minute to acknowledge (again) that almost all BOG stations how have a semi-decent web presence.
How many years has this been in the making!? The day has finally arrived.
2SM looks very professional - with News pages AND even a Win page on the 2SM website!?
Today it’s a blank carrier.
To the poster a bit upthread: 1970s music is too old in 2024. Xers (and Xennials) are discovering what our parents did about “Good Times, Great Oldies” formats some 20 years ago.
“You will never understand the magic of a moment, until it becomes a memory” – Dr. S
And yet 2UE are running sweeps promoting more 70s being played.
I’ve been able to locate the following. It’s not an easy task at the moment as it appears that network site isn’t online yet, and many of the domain names have expired and been snatched up by squatters.

And the much forgotten Orange - 2EL
It still surprises me a bit that SRN never bothered to rename 2EL, because Easy Listening it ain’t…
2CT for Central Tablelands? Though this was once used in Campbelltown, back in the 70s/80s? But of course, the joke would be that it also means ‘Crap Talkback!’.
Looks like that has been rectified! 1269am and DAB+ appears in the logo on the 2SM website
And the new network website has now become functional sometime late today.
Noice. The ‘Markets’ page is missing a tile for Taree though.
You can click through to their Markets - Super Radio Network page and also get links to a bunch of their other websites. Some of which have some issues with https (2NZ), and others are still entirely broken links (2LM is missing a W for example)- but they are making good progress.
Seems like no one knew the 4AK format though - https://4ak.au/
There’s some logos I don’t think I’d seen before like the horrendous Triple G/2MO combo.
They probably need to clean up some of the logos as they read very poorly in the shape/size of the generic website template, but I suppose that’s the web people working with what they have and not being able to do station rebrands.
AM - where the only demos you will get are sky-high.
Pretty good effort to get the websites back up and running. Hopefully streaming won’t be too far away.
While looking at 2BS Bathurst, I notice now they only have a local breakfast show. Afternoons is now Pete Davis, although in brackets, it states during summer, and the whole weekend is from the network - nothing local. Very sad to see 2BS go this way.
Lol. I was thinking the same thing. In fact I wondered at first if Ken Done was asked to add a splash of colour to the previous logos.
Yes. Hopefully they’ll revise or reedit them at some point in time.
Some of the logos are looking very tired & some a bit amateurish too.
