Sunrise just did an interview about the loyalty tax. I thought it was just a filler story they pulled from the list of stories that you could run at any time but no, it was a really subtle ad for Finder. They never showed the logo or even showed who they were talking to but he did drop a mention of the Finder Awards.
This happens on a daily basis. Commercial tv ain’t gonna pay for itself.
But if I was Finder, I’d be pissed. If it wasn’t for the rep happening to mention the Finder Awards no one would have known what they were advertising.

A very good line up today. But id add Mon to this on news reading for the best Sunrise team.
Agreed , the sunrise breakfast is just big giant ad anyway with some stories thrown into it.
It may not be an ad either? Could just be lazy programming- producer just gets the story from the internet and uses that as The segment.

You’re taking Liam Tapper out of context. He’s not endorsing those views. He’s reporting legitimately sourced news stories.
I had a look at his instagram posts. All pretty tame stuff.
The language and tone of his reporting of those ‘legit’ ‘news’ would suggest otherwise.
It’s all very tongue in cheek for those sort of topics.
Other news stories are serious indeed such as the TTMR immigration issue.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. When you view his instagram grid the context is there. If Seven had any concern then he would know about it.
It’s some light social content for engagement which is clearly working lol.
