Remember that streaming numbers are counted towards overall ratings now, and those platforms give the networks a lot of data about their viewers to target them better.
In a lot of markets Nine has a substantial lead in streaming ratings that often givens them the overall win.
More and more houses have no TV cable. As this trend continues, chances are that the 9 streaming numbers continue to grow at a larger pace than 7.
7 would be stupid not to try and push as many people as possible to 7+.
Because sooner rather than later (and I don’t mean this year but eventually), it’ll just be 7 Plus, so they’re building to that transition.

Mirrors the voiceover on 7NEWS, so makes sense for it to be that

Noticed the Weekend Sunrise promo getting a good run today. Such a great promo.. you can tell that Mon and Woi genuinely like each other.. although they both seem to get along well with anyone.

Eddy is very good. Given the depth of Sunrrise’s bench she doesn’t often get the chance to host in the main chair and it’s always great when she does. Her and Woiwood are clearly mates, very amusing together and doing a very good job.
Eddy and David has great chemistry together and should be weekday permanent co-hosts in the long-term
Mylee Hogan has done a great job presenting the news on Sunrise the past few days. And I also agree about Woi and Eddy working well together.
Sunrise that is usually very good at starting on time, got off to a slightly late start this morning as the Early News ran overtime.
It really is a great team - they are really clicking. It’s astonishing how 9 just don’t invest in the lineup the same way as 7 does. Edwina and David have been all parts serious and fun. And miley is very good. Has she been in that role before? Surely setting the show up for the ratings period is the main game over summer? - again 9 seem to have dropped the ball.
Has anyone notice Liam Tapper’s videos getting even more weird? Today calling migrants “temporary people on our shores”…. And pointing out they’re “competing” for our houses. Furthermore alleging Labor is using them to secure votes. Is sunrise OK with this?
The videos have become increasingly unhinged and politically partisan and the detached 1000-mile stare in his eyes is equally unnerving. Surely Sunrise won’t tolerate this? Sounds like he’s auditioning for a Sky After Dark position.
That’s bizarre.
His reporting has been a bit “unhinged” in the last 6 month or so. I can never tell if he’s reading a script or adlibbing because he ums and ahhhs, and doesn’t finish sentences.
