Where is Liam Tapper? Has he been seen in studio since returning from parental leave? Has he fallen out of favour with management?
This has been discussed before. There have been some suggestions that he has been controversial on his social media recently and that this has resulted in him not being considered for those studio roles.

Nonsense, he’s playing right into the Sunrise/7 playbook on his socials, so that wouldn’t be anything to do with it. If it was a problem they’d tell him to knock it off.

How else do you explain his noticeable absence from the studio then, Pal?
Maybe it’s giving others a go, maybe he likes being on the road, maybe he wants holidays at the time they need to fill slots.
I mean they havn’t sacked him, they havn’t disciplined him, they havn’t told him to stop doing provactive social content (it’s not contoversial stuff just right leaning stuff- standard 7 things). So a bit of a long bow to suggest his insta has resulted in him missing out on presenting shifts.

I mean, pal, none of us know, but we can’t just take a point that was made here on this forum and extrapolate it out to suddenly become the truth.
There’s no rationale behind this idea the Liam’s social media has somehow hindered opportunities for him at the moment.

I don’t really want to dive down the rabbit hole here, however, didn’t Liam recently become a father again? Perhaps it’s easier to be a reporter while his wife is on maternity leave and therefore, cannot commit regular presenter roles at the moment. I’m no expert but I’d imagine it’d be easier to “drop out” of a reporting shift than it would be a presenter shift if need be.
