Sunrise

Sunrise poll graphic at 7.30 is drastically wrong.
Shows One Nation as 49% on primary vote.. but that is two party preferred.

Nat asked my question that I submitted about how Pauline will prepare her candidates to be ministers if she wins government, given none of them will even have parliamentary experience. As I expected, the answer was waffle.

This graphic was shown several times.

The correct one was also seen.

Great question, and predictable response.

This is going to be the case with any new party that has never been in power. If there really is a seismic shift in the way Australia votes, then that will be the result.

It has happened in state parliaments where the opposition has come from political oblivion to governing party. Queensland, for example, when Cambell Newman lost after one term.

But they don’t have a sport presenter any more.

Not a smart move.

Antony Greene commenting on the poll graphic.

Oops. The graphic didn't match the Morgan poll, or the script and someone's used the One Nation two-party figure. It seems to have been fixed back to 31% in a later story but this graphic and story are still on Sunrise's Youtube channel. pic.twitter.com/2u2EWgKcYM

But normally at least some of the new government will have been in opposition. ON will have Barnaby alone.
Running a business is not the same as understanding the workings of parliament.

Anna McGraw is joining Sunrise as a reporter.

Wonder if she’ll be staying in Brisbane or moving elsewhere.

Worth noting that both Melbourne and Queensland have two reporters each, though in the case of the former, Teegan Dolling is still on parental leave, leaving Andrew McCormack on his own for now.
