On screen during the Hanson protest story was “wants to remove toxic Labor government.” Really? Seriously? Written like it’s fact. Surely it could at least appear as “toxic”

Not a political point or discussion (so don’t @ me), just an interesting media observation - take a look at Tanya Plibersek and Pat Conroys answers on Sunrise and Today this morning. Identical answers, I guess highlighting the talking points all politicians are sent each morning on how to answer questions that day.

Even moreso for both of them given they’re both Cabinet ministers operating under cabinet solidarity. If any of them even deviated slightly from their position Albanese could easily sack them.

Nat was back after a 10-day break. Nice of her to wear maroon. Blake Johnson got to report on aviation this morning from France (despite not being labelled as Aviation Editor). Huge amount of free advertising for Kmart this morning.

Strange she return to work on a Thursday !
Why does it have to ve a Monday? With many people working three or four day weeks at the nework, there’s really no need for others to conform to be restricted to Monday to Friday.

Mon did a really nice feature story on the Salvation Army. They don’t seem to do this type of reporting much these days. It is a lot of live crosses, which is great too. But nice to have a variety, especially when Mon does great interviews.
