Sunrise was a winner by 50,000 over second-paced Today. News breakfast was more popular than recently and 15,000 behind Today.
Sunrise won in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
News Breakfast was an easy winner in Melbourne with Sunrise second.
After rounding, Today and Sunrise tied in Brisbane, though Today was slightly ahead.
They need to get into Qld and do some stories and crosses. Could they send JT? He’d have to quarantine first though.
How did Tim Davies get in there? I don’t remember him being off air for two weeks quarantining.
Dunno. I asked my parents (who are regular Today viewers) and they said he’s been in Qld for about a month.
If I remember correctly, he went up there on the day the borders re-opened on 10th July and has been there ever since so that was why he didn’t have to quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival.
If Port Adelaide make it all the way to the Grand Final, they could get Kochie to report from the GABBA and its surroundings on Grand Final Friday and the day of the Grand Final itself.
On another note, no matter if Port win or lose their game tonight, Kochie should be able to be in Sydney for all of next week’s Sunrise shows (Mon 05 Oct-Fri 09 Oct), since the semi-finals don’t start until Friday next week.
I’d say that might be the last day (9th October) we see Kochie for a while, because he’ll need to spend the 9th-23rd October in South Australia before flying to Queensland if Port make the Grand Final, as he can’t enter NSW during that two week period because of border restrictions.
If they allow him to travel to QLD, I think him hosting the show from QLD on grand finale eve is a very probable comprise.
Tim was there on the morning QLD first reopened the border and he’s been there ever since. I suppose it has been beneficial for them when they have someone with
no strings attached who can easily relocate for months on end, unlike Stevie.
Maybe Sam Mac can go from SA to Qld or via ACT?
Qld border policies would still need him to pay for isolate in a hotel if he has been in a hotspot during the last 14 days. So he’d need to do the weather from the ACT or SA for 2 weeks before coming to QLD, not simply transit through those states.

Doubt it. Perhaps they might cross to him outside the Adelaide Oval during the sports segment to discuss the outcome of tonight’s game, but I highly doubt it. He’ll probably want to take the opportunity to sleep in.

I could see this as the permanent Friday team in 2021, if Kochie and Sam go back to 4 days a week which ideally they’d both work Monday to Thursday together.
