Nat said on the promo over the weekend, “Shirvo’s back. The whole team is back together”.

I wouldn’t have commented except that it was part of the weekend promo. Usually they say if someone is “on assignment” or ill.
If it’s personal, it’s none of my business, just thought they’d mention something briefly.

From memory he worked 2 extra weeks in December when Nat was on holidays.

The point of the discussion is they ran promos all weekend saying the team was ‘all back together’ but then he didn’t appear Monday morning.
Could be anything, but I think based off the weekend and the promo, fair enough to ask why this instance.

Shrivo will be back on Sunrise Wednesday morning after enjoying his holidays as well as an assignment for the show.

Nat said at the start of last Monday’s show that Shirvo is on assignment.
He was on for an extra week after Nat went on holidays.

Not going to lie the opening voiceover needs to have both the presenters first and last name. When Matt Doran fills in for Shirvo the opening voiceover is Nat and Matt which sounds weird.

Shirvo was probably “on assignment” during his break and so owed a couple of extra days. As I said, just strange to promote his return then it not happen Monday. They should have left the promo until Tuesday.
Noticed Sarah Jane Bell reporting from Brisbane this morning. Is this a permanent move?
He’s back today so the promos about the whole team being back wasn’t a lie just not on Monday and Tuesday.
