After three months of not a single week being the same as the last, they finally seem to have developed a roster for news. For the past three weeks, it’s been:

Monique Wright- Monday, Tuesday and Friday
Angie Asimus- Wednesday and Thursday

I’m still looking forward to the schedule for “all-day coverage”. What’s happening between 11am & 4pm?

The last weekday Sunrise before the election. I thought there was a good balance between politics and other content. Tendency for the election to overpower the rest of the show but I think they have realised that most viewers are over that and there’s isn’t much new to report. The PM had a brief interview.

Good idea to have the election night team of Nat and Musher together on the day prior.

A “challenge day” - Mark Beretta challenged him to read the weather upside down.

It sounds like a very interesting interview with Sally.

Sunrise (unlike Today) have a few stories that didn’t focus on the election including sports coverage.

Jennifer Bechwati this morning - “Prime Minister Scott Morrison… (chuckles)… I should say outgoing Prime Minister.”

I brushed it off as sleep deprivation until she did exactly the same thing in another live cross - including the chuckle- an hour later. Hmmm

She’s very stumbly on the best of days.

Well done to Sevens US team on getting this one… David was only an hour away from the shooting.

For what it’s worth in The Daily Telegraph:

And even though, she was apparently known as the “only person on television who doesn’t want to be on television…”, she added “I’ll be back.”

I really miss Sam’s bubbly personality. Sunrise hasn’t been the same since she left.

She was an asset in terms of personality for the majority of her time on the show. Towards the end her conservative bias started to become more prominent.

She’s right, with all the teals and greens and reds out there now she’s definitely in the minority.

Having said that, as good as Nat is (and all credit to her for the seamless transition), she doesn’t have the same bubbly personality as Sam.

It also doesn’t help that the other bubbly person on Sunrise is on maternity leave.
