Sunrise continuing live coverage of Qld floods past 9am AEDT (8am local) with full opener on the hour… no Morning Show today?

National coverage finished at 10 am with Seven News taking over in Brisbane and The Moring Show elsewhere.

So as I predicted, it was just Nat co-hosting from Brisbane and Kochie solo, with Angie on news?

Good coverage. Some nice interviews.

Yep, but I reckon if Mon was available she would’ve been in the studio with Kochie. That’s what they did when there were floods last year and Nat was sent to the flood zone.

It seems Matt Doran has returned to work judging by his tweet this afternoon.

I’m guessing he will be reporting from Queensland tomorrow morning.

That’s great news. I’m so pleased he is well and back on deck.

Nat much better this morning than Karl, better authority when presenting in the field and more engaged.

Nat is a class act. Sunrise did an excellent job this morning. A big improvement on Weekend Sunrise on Sunday.

Sunrise live into Qld again today.
Nat and Sam Mac live from Brisbane again. Matt Doran has joined the team on location.

Great team of reporters including Joel Dry, Bianca Stone and Marlina Whop.
One thing I have noticed yesterday and today is Ned Balme. He is not great at talking off the cuff. (Edit: he was much better on the later cross this morning).
Michael Usher above the floods in the chopper today.

Michael Usher is being used in the coverage reporting in a helicopter. Nice to see Seven using talent from different programs.

Must’ve been a change of plan as Nat got out of thigh-high water. The 8.30 (7.30 Qld) interview with RFS HQ has “Brisbane” under Kochie’s image. I presume it was originally meant to be Nat interviewing.
Edit: changed to “Sunrise” mid interview.

Matt’s strength is in the field. His interview with resident Helen this morning was quite funny.

Pretty risky stuff climbing around on a roof.

Reporters in general from all networks should be careful in the flood waters. We’ve seen some wading through water. Then we hear an expert come on advising of the potential hazards in the water like raw sewage, chemicals, insects, snakes etc plus the uncertainty of the footing.
